Palace (H), 22/11/25, 3pm - Build Up & Match Thread

About as good as could be considering the absolute dross he has to pick from

Two big lads upfront and a shed load of crossing. Probably the best we could hope for. Just hope our wide centre backs cope when covering for our wingbacks.

not sure about the crossing.. Looks more like long ball to me

If I inherited a squad that had:

- No wide forwards/midfielders
- No creativity from central midfield
- No-one with any ability to carry the ball
- Two giant strikers who have shown they can finish

Then reluctantly I too would be playing football straight out of 1983. In the short term anyway until I could fix the playing staff in at least some ways.

Of course how we've managed to craft a squad that's so horribly lacking in nearly every single area is a scandal.

That's actually not too bad. Shame there's not a place for Mane and still confused that Mosquera seems to have dropped off the face of the earth, but that's more or less what I would have gone with.

That looks like a penalty if that's on the line.

Got aways with it, damn close.

Close. But the contact was with his thigh, and that was outside.

Daft challenge though.

We don't look like a good bet for a clean sheet tbh.

Let-off from Mateta

Fucking hell we're shocking defensively.

We were on The Big Match revisited earlier today (75/76) and the style of football we're seeing these days very reminiscent. We got relegated that year too.

Well our players managed to last 4 minutes into RE’s reign without looking completely and utterly shite. Back to normal now, though.

Just a matter of time. No idea how we aren’t losing already.

Toti neither tracking the run or playing offside. Not like he wasn’t watching it all happen. Laughable he’s our captain

20 mins in and absolutely fighting for our lives to keep it 0-0.

We really don't like having much possession, do we? At home and we've hardly had a touch. When we do it's a misplaced pass, or a hoof. Can't quite believe we've assembled such a poor team.

No out ball from the constant wave of Palace probing.

Two big lads and a terrier next to them no kind of outlet.

What a faecal legacy Pereira and Teti have left us
