Too early to say. I would’ve sacked him, but the club didn’t for whatever reason.

Players still playing for him, and a very good performance last time out, and as mentioned 4 games in short period of time coming up.

If the club didn’t sack him 3 weeks ago, they aren’t going to now. I’d also say if they were actually looking 3 weeks ago, they clearly weren’t happy/convinced by other options, and nothing will’ve changed in past 3 weeks except good results strengthening GoN position.

If he picks up decent points between now and Christmas, then it will most definitely have been the correct decision by the club. Still doesn’t gloss over the fact that first part of season has been piss poor. Equally doesn’t mean next 9 games could be really good. If they are, both the board and GoN deserve credit and il happily give it them
 
You can't really say the club got it right. Not can you say they got it badly wrong either.

They didn't need to hand him a four year contract, and I think they got sucked in with the media love in after he went on Sky, and started patting themselves on the back too soon.

But they also can't be blamed for the toughest starting fixture list in the league or Mosquera getting a season ending injury. Those things contributed to the poor start as much as GON not setting the team up right and flip flopping between defensive formations.
 
As a straight sacking for the sake of it to start a recruitment search tomorrow then no. However if Graham Potter were to ring up and say he's about to take the Leicester job, but would prefer the Wolves one then I would. No room for sentimentality if what I believe is an upgrade is available.
 
As I said before the Southampton game he should be given that and get a win it might instill some confidence going forwards. The players are behind him, that counts for a lot.
The win on Saturday will help a lot obviously. Im not saying we're out of the woods, but I don't see any available manager making a massive difference to performances given the squad we've got.
 
He set the team up well in that game. Solid midfield 2, defenders not running into silly positions, not a stupidly high line and then 4 forwards.

It was balanced. We played well. Key players turned up. For whatver reason those things haven’t been happening or certainly the first 2 and some of the third.

We have good enough players to play this bog standard 4231 and be ok. He only had to perform at 5/10 to keep the job long term given the ambition of the owners and the gap to the championship.
 
Don't think the club ever had any thoughts about sacking him, despite reports. Won't know if the club got it 'right' until the end of the next Championship season (unless we stay up, then they would have got it 'right').
 
As others have said, the players still seem with him.

So, for me, although I'm not convinced about him mid/long-term, the more he continues the positives of the past four games, the more secure his job gets.

Just having some control during matches, cutting out the chaos a bit and not conceding 2/3 a game is progress, he needs to keep that up
 
As long as he doesn't lose the dressing room, the fans don't turn on him, or we get cut adrift at the bottom, he'll be given as much time as possible by Hobbs.

Impossible we played with a back 4 and 2 guys who can't play full back 😉
 
8 points in four games is excellent but we got very lucky at Brighton, the same chaos was there against Palace and we were woeful in the first half against Saints. Obviously we need to stick with him now and hopefully he will stick with Gomes and Andre and we can play with a bit more control. Even allowing for tough fixtures after Christmas he can’t be given the benefit of the doubt again and get away with another long winless run.
 
He’s a bit David Brent in interviews for my liking but the players like playing for him. While we have the best player in the league outside the sky six playing up front that will likely be enough.

If he were good enough to be poached by the minuscule number of clubs bigger than us, then he’d leave in a heartbeat. Zero sentimentality in this game

Very few reasons for him to feel a sentimental attachment to Wolves, really. As with the majority of the playing and coaching staff in modern football.
