O'Neil aka GONe

Let's be honest, the only single reason O'Neil gets cut so much slack by fans and the media is because of his nationality, absolutely nothing else
Media yes, not for the fans I don't think

Yes and no. We are a shambles from top to bottom.

He’s not good enough, but been given a shit hand. It’s one of those. Obviously his limitations/failure to adapt sho.

Don’t dislike the bloke. We’ve had worse. But plug needs pulling

Fuck me, I reckon if you'd carried on for another couple of paragraphs you'd be saying we should extend his contract again
Are you pissed or just petty point scoring? You don't seem to be able to comprehend the written word.
Your hatred for O'Neil is understandable but misplaced. Yeah he was a cheap option and a gamble but until the last couple of weeks he's conducted himself well as far as I'm concerned, far better than Lage or Lopetegui did.
He was dealt a shit hand with a so called squad, already paper thin, sold Kilman, Sold Neto bought in a load of shit in positions that weren't required, and a shit goalkeeper, lost Mosquera for a full season, had VAR decisions go against us...I could go on.
For weeks we've been hearing 'sack O'Neil' but as I've asked before, to be replaced by whom?
No one's come up with a viable answer to that besides 'pie in the sky' suggestions who wouldn't be interested in the job except maybe some for earning a fast buck.

Have tried to get a new member to replace him but they refuse to post under the restrictions Jeff Vis has put in place.
Also, we believe Wolftone has huge potential as a poster on a forum and think if we let him go, he will simply go to a new place and that potential will be realised and we will look like twats.
...and the four year contract Kenny. I'm open to negotiation 👍

I'll still be here for the Leicester game. I'll be working on things in the meantime and will always give the forum 100%. Blah, blah, blah

They'll have gone so far down the list that they're now on the people who aren't even as good as O'Neil, so they think there's no point in swapping

Guy lives round the corner is a failed Stafford Rangers manager. They haven’t asked him yet so got to assume they still have options better than GON.

It isn't having a bad manager that gets you relegated, but not getting rid of him, when he is clearly out of his depth, that gets you relegated and that is down to Jeff.
The evidence has been clear to see for a long time now, that he has no solutions to our problems, but he has been allowed to go from one disaster to the next.

Seems the pundits are finally picking out GON, motd crew talking about lack of discipline and Ashley Williams calling him out for pushing the players under the bus.
Shocking interview from O'Neil, saying he's never struggled to help players improve their level before! Gary, not only have you not coached them to a higher level, you've actually coached them to several levels lower.

Having just got in after a family dinner in the depths of Shropshire and no phone signal I was hoping to come home and read he’d gone.
I don’t think it’s happening again simply because they’ve already made their minds up just they’ve not got a clue who to bring in.
This is what happens Jeff when you reach the end of the line and no one wants to work or know you due to how you run things.
We’re stuck footballing purgatory, GON wants the sack, The board want him sacked as do the fans but there’s no one to replace him so we’re locked between 2 situations.
I don’t think we’re breaking 20 points this season which is humiliating.

He honestly hasn't been dealt a bad hand. His comments about these players not being able to play at this level are bizarre, excusing Doherty.
I don't think his comments are bizarre, they show lack of self awareness and it's terrible man management. No wonder Cunha, Lemina and RAN are losing their shit if they're being told they're not of a sufficient level.

Players make mistakes but ours make the same ones. Moaning about them being out of position etc again points back to poor discipline and not enough accountability on Monday back at Compton after fucking up.
I’ll give him the defence he’s got to choose from is poor but it’s not 39 GA in 16 games poor, it’s not conceding 6 goals within minutes scoring poor. Some basic poor disciplined stuff keeps on occurring.

He’s talked them down and himself up since the day he arrived. He’s laughably slagged off the record of a predecessor who has won 3 Europa Leagues, and I’m sure in his own mind he thinks he’s smarter. Of course it’s not his fault he hasn’t been sacked, in fairness he’s gone above and beyond in trying to ensure it’s happened. The idea that there is no viable alternative is, however, almost unspeakably moronic. If you were to sit close to him and watch him attempt to manage a game it’s inconceivable to think that anyone with a passing knowledge of football could do to worse, let alone struggle to think of anyone who could do it better.
