O'Neil aka GONe

Mondays result could be a 5-0 win and it would change nothing for me in terms of how I view his suitability going forward.

On the same wavelength I see nothing positive for why we are keeping him going forward if they are planning a change. I don't want him helping or prepping any fixtures regardless.

I would have fired him and his immediate staff this morning. Players will be in recovery and gym rehab most likely anyway so all the other staff can run that. Then would have used today to assembly a little make shift staff from all the others there to be ready to go from tomorrow with the first time. Not ideal but better than having any involvement and input from O'Neil.
could possibly be 5 but no way it would be to nil!

A lot of candidates for our job may be keen on the West Ham job.

If we wanted someone who was on West Ham's radar, there's no way they'd commit to us until Tuesday at the earliest.

The press conference was today, because the players have Friday off. Perhaps I'm out of date, but you drag them in after a performance like that.
I agree.

Although I'm not sure filling their head with more GONsense will help them.

(Apologies)

He’s got to go, or I’m being forced to will my team to get thumped on Monday night. I know I wanted it last night too, but I’d be at West Ham fanatic levels by Monday. Surely they’d be inviting a situation whereby away fans have to literally cheer an opposition goal and be despondent if we score. He goes there and gets any kind of result and it’s a disaster.
Tbh this did already happen at Goodison, in the second half fans were cheering the Everton goals louder than Goodison which was so quiet otherwise.

That Winter article winds me up, you'd think O'Neil himself told him what to write. Probably a nugget of truth in that in return for access. O'Neil not at fault, let's shift attention to Lopetegui! Same as O'Neil himself used to do last year. And how was Lopetegui unqualified? O'Neil has as few credentials as Bruno Lage did or less and most would agree he was unqualified.

Lopetegui can actually do us quite the favour here. If he beats us, then O'Neil will be sacked and West Ham aren't fishing in the same pool as us for a manager. But I am assuming our board aren't going to colossally fuck up a hiring process which is too generous.

Not for me. Nothing to gain and goes against all the sports science and data of rest and recovery cycles.

Since when did sports science get woke..? 🙄
Get them.in doing laps until they drop...

It's not about that. You get them in, make them watch the last game, talk about what's going wrong plan how to fix it before working on it on the training field the next day. They don't deserve a day off and they shouldn't get one.

They don't have to be ran into the ground like it's a punishment, they could spend 6 hours in the briefing room watching clips and analysis etc. Them having their feet up at home watching Deal Or No Deal does rankle tbh

I think I'd want something stronger to sit through Rafa's football. Zero reward these days for total shite on a stick. You'd be as well at least giving Fat Sam his 1950s dream ticket, the end result would be the same and we'd be so bad that even that tiny section of idiots who like him would finally turn and give the corpulent cunt what he deserves.

As I don't think Potter or Conceição are likely, my choice is Moyes for the rest of the season and then Mourinho in the summer, fuck it

Hasenhüttl
Carrick
Michel (not the Italia 90 one, the Girona one)

I'd accept any of them.

I’ll allow Moyes if one of you gives a kick to his ‘nads for every punt Zouma gave that cat.

And then a half dozen more, just to be sure.

We aren't paying to get any manager out of his contract. The only exception might be Edwards where they will think we are doing them a favour and it'll be a token few quid
