O'Neil aka GONe

GON is a terrible manager, our worst since Saunders, but anyone incoming has to work under the chaotic reign and restraints imposed by 30p Shi.

Plenty of good managers out there but that's a tough ask.

Not sure how serious our link to Potter was, but realistically, there's no way in a straight choice he chooses Wolves over West Ham with the clear direction of travel our board/owners are taking.

I want GON gone, but i will be amazed if we appoint somebody any better than Cooper. On the face of it, we should be relatively attractive, but the chaos behind the scenes, the lies that were told to Lop, the lack of any coherent transfer policy and the lack of any clear short, medium or long term plan to develop the club will see any self respecting, talented manager walk swiftly in the other direction.
Unlike Cooper...

I would completely give up following Wolves if we appoint him. I'm nearly at that point anyway, where I have lost interest in a lot of things football, if he's appointed, and when we go down, I'll be finding something else to occupy my emotional investment.

Gary O'Neil: "I'll work for the next few hours or tomorrow morning to leave this club in the best shape possible"

Has he left yet?

And the club know this, which is why they are so fucking loyal to GON, they know they won't get another manager who is such a yes man.

Just watching the sky sports video of the presser. Wish some of these journos would have the balls to actually tackle him with tough questions. Seems they’re too scared of losing their press passes.
As someone that has actually happened to, I can well understand why. This is their living.

West Ham will beat us on Monday.

So that will buy Lopetegui time, and their fixture list isn't too bad coming up, considering they're a decent team.

We might be the only realistic option for Potter here and now, but I'm sure he'd still rather wait. But the longer you stay out the game, the harder it can be to get back in. We should be pushing for him big time.

I think I recall him on MNF saying how he has a big team with him, including someone for recruitment. Could get rid of Hobbs and give him a lot of control.

Be more like us to bring in Cooper or Edwards and expect them to work with Dezza, iPad bloke, Cutler and the other bloke

Watched the game at Leicester any other time it could have easily finished 5-3 to West Ham, they’ll give us a right bollicking.

Or better still, kicking GON to be a coach so we don't have to pay him off 🤣

I think GoN is gone, but staying on until we find a replacement and knows he is too.
Same. He is downbeat (even moreso than usual), speaking in past tense and harking back to distant victories. He is effectively caretaker now and could go at any point IMO
