O'Neil aka GONe

Imagine how our better players feel about this too?

I bet they're really motivated and want to stay at the club as long as possible...
This is exactly why I’m willing to forgive Mario’s antics tbh.

As one of our better players?

If you were basing it on this season alone, I guess I couldn't really argue against you. But IMO we should all be aware he's entirely capable of consistently being a much, much better player than he's shown since August.

Still fully on the "O'Neil is fucking these lads over" train.

If he doesn't get sent off it's 'passion' and forgivable.

If he got himself sent off he's not really much different to O'Hara getting himself sent off Vs Huddersfield in April 2013 - rank stupidity.

Gary O'Neil is nowhere near a Premier League Manager/Head Coach. In fact, I have always been of the opinion he is not even a Manager/Head Coach at all. He just doesn't have the character, the demeanour, the gravitas for me. To me he is a no.2/interim/caretaker and nothing more. We keep hearing what a nice guy he is, how popular he is with the players, a mate. However, that's not his job, its not a popularity contest. Looking at some of the best managers over time they haven't come across as particularly pleasant characters, certainly not the players mate but respected - Clough, Mourinho, Klopp, Pep for instance. I'm not saying you have to be an utter wanker but you don't need to be their drinking buddy either

Gary O Neil reminds me one those fake beggars on the street. Sits there for hours getting paid then gets up and goes to his Mercedes and drives off to his luxury home. He has Tommy Doyle , Ricardo Gomes and Carlos Forbes all sitting doing nothing and this cunt plays the poverty game. Get fucked O Neil you fuckstick.

I agree with this in the main. He's too soft on players underperforming and making stupd decisions. Partly his inexperience but also The problem he's got is that in most positions he's not got the option to drop players for anyone better. The only positions where he has got plenty of options the players are all unreliable or substandard ie Sarabia/Guedes, Bellegarde/R.Gomes/Forbs.

So so harsh on Mario to ever compare him to O’Hara, IMO.

I think the issue is not so much relegation (though this is bad enough) but the fact that it is entirely self-inflicted, we can all see it happening in slow motion but the powers that be are just ignoring it whilst trying to fob us off with bullshit. They are taking a lot of money out of the fanbase but not giving us much back in return. For several windows we have listened to bullshit excuses as to why signing players is so difficult even though other teams seem to do so with no problems, now we are being fed the same rubbish about finding a new manager that is better than the novice we employed, which let's face it, no other team at this level would have employed.

We were told last year that we had to behave as if we were a newly promoted side - what kind of nonsense is that? No other clubs seem to run in this way. All whilst rocketing our ticket prices as they 'benchmark' against other, far more ambitious clubs.

We have a Head Coach with a very limited/poor CV who has overseen a run of just 3 wins in 25 games, 2 of which were against a side now relegated and another side that will be relegated. We were told that it was because he had no strikers, he now has a very decent Norwegian no.9 not to mention a Brazilian no.10. Then we were told he needed a pre-season with the 'group' which he then wasted. Then we were told we had a tough start to the season, wait until the 'winnable' games - we get battered 4-0 by fucking Everton yet still they think he's the 'next big thing'??

We sit here below fucking Ipswich who were League One a couple of years back, we face them at home on Saturday not even confident that we will beat them. We have watched as sides have come up since us such as Forest, Bournemouth, Brentford and Fulham and they have left us behind even though their squads are not far superior to ours. For as much as O'Neil whines about how hard done by he is with players lost we still have a team out there of internationals from a range of different countries yet we sit 2nd from bottom getting battered by shit.

I came home from work last night in a foul mood, completely disheartened by the press releases that we were sticking with this bloke and giving him (more) time to turn this around (3 wins in 25 suggests he won't) and with each passing game that zero points are attained the target of safety becomes that bit more difficult. After the Everton humiliation where he turned his back on the fans as they chanted 'wanker, wanker, wanker' we all thought that was it, no coming back but there he was again doing his PC on Thursday and on the sidelines waving his arms manically on Monday night as he oversaw his 28th defeat in 53 games, we all assumed that was the end yet less than 24 hours later we are told that he is still the man.

People have had enough. When was the last time we had any good news from this club? For a few years now the news is downbeat, gloomy, depressing and whenever we think it won't get any worse it does. We are told that they have no interest in selling the club yet they clearly have no interest in growing it either. Its depressing, its upsetting. We all love our club and want to see us developing as a club after our longest stint yet in the Premier League, a period that began with the best side most of us had ever seen in old gold managed by the best manager we had witnessed, a man who was fully on board with the fans, the club, the city. We got to an FA Cup semi and qualified for Europe, those Europa nights were the best and proudest moments for us Wolves fans and we felt it was the beginning of something special. Since then we have seen it all dismantled before our very eyes and we all saw it coming.

I'm rambling now and going to get on with my work!
One of the main issues with relegation is that our squad just isn’t built for the championship, as we have been in the prem for 6 years (I think)

Your Luton’s, sheffields, Leeds’s, Burnley’s, Norwich's etc for example go down, don’t lose loads of players and are competitive again usually. We are not built that way.

If we go down, we will lose (at a minimum)
Semedo
Bueno
RAN
Gomes
Andre
Sarabia
Forbes
Guedes
R Gomes
Cunha
JSL

The players that stay aren’t going to form a competitive team, we will then need to sign new players with no guarantees. Could send us into freefall

New players? Great to finally see some optimism on here!

New players would be Brownhill style free agency targets. We'd generate loads from the above but my worry is they are using funds they generate to backfill what they already owed or had committed.

We are going to struggle to lose half those players because they are shit and/or on stupid contracts

Semedo and Sarabia are both out of contract

RAN, André, J Gomes, Cunha and JSL will all 100% get taken unless they're long term crocked

The rest are neither here nor there, in fact I pray for the day someone takes that faceache cunt Guedes off us

The phrase deep shit springs to mind and asking Hobbs if he’s still here to recruit a completely new squad.
I think we’ll end up with a squad at a level that KJ accumulated in the 2015/16 season which was horrible.

Regarding the rest, I’m not arsed about them as players, but they will
Still need replacing. If we go down, we are in deep, deep shit IMV

It’ll be a squad made up of young loans from the PL, the last remaining players and cheap lower league purchases on the hope they step up.
