Next Manager

Like how we are all pretending it won't be either Lampard or Smith. They were on the shortlist last time afterall.

In the last year we have gone

- Sacked Lage
- Gone all in on Lopetegui - he said no
- Went all in on a highly rated manager who had 14 or 15 games under his belt - he said no
- Stuck with a L2 caretaker
- Tried to persuade Rob Edwards to join us a club employed coach,, safe from being binned when a manager is sacked/walks - he said no
- Gone back to throwing everything at Lopetegui - he said yes pl££S£ then no thanks.
- All in on a British manager with less than 1 season of experience.

When GO goes, who knows what direction we will go in. So we might as well throw all types of managers around on here
Fair, but quite a few of those were Sellars rather than Hobbs.

I've got no issue with people throwing names in there at all, but neither should people have an issue when the likelihood is queried.

Hobbs was part of the Beale and Edwards chase.
Sellars was sidelined after Lage went and was essentially discussing his pay off as we went on the manager hunt.
TT disagrees (IIRC)

But it seems Hobbs definitely voted leave.

Managerial shortlists, like players, are bound to change, and availability, form and interest are all liable to change too.

Things move fast, like how we're talking about Gaz being binned after half a dozen games

I really admire the optimism on here, despite the overwhelming evidence that suggests it'll be another appalling decision.

Probably will be, I don't mind Hobbs but I suspect he's a job grade above his current ability, Jeff knows less about football than I know about Game of Thrones.

Doesn't mean you do nothing.

If Gaz is sacked before he reaches 10-12 games, does that mean you'll forever never have an opinion on him?

Think 10 games is enough. I don't think he's doing that bad a job ATM though.

Without two howling VAR decisions we are 12th.

I think there is merit in making sure you have a decent replacement lined up before pushing the button, else you end up in a situation where you have Steve Davis in charge again, and you have another period where the players are hearing different things from a new manager unnecessarily.

I said that Hobbs was in for Beale a few days ago, and you said it was Sellars (if i am remembering correctly)
Genuinely can't remember, but maybe.
It was Sellars in charge of the management search post Lage, although Beale was a Hobbs recommendation. It was only after the Leicester game and him getting booed that Jeff bulleted him.

We've got 4 points out of 6 games and I'd put a million quid on it being 4 from 7.

I'd like to know how much worse it can get.

We absolutely waited far too long to sack Lage.

For every Zenga and O'Neil there's a Nuno and Lop, not like their hit ratio is 100% dross

Nuno was 6 years ago and just look at the decisions made since they sacked him! The only good one they've made since then was pushing for Lop, but that was only because Beale and Edwards turned us down!!!
