keeping him fit and no suspensions will be key i think

Bit of a late start!
How's Edwards been playing?
Just heard he made 'a great scything tackle...'

more likely a scything attempt 20 seconds after the man and ball had gone

Diame yellow for chopping Doherty down with a very late tackle - studs up, might have been lucky not to have got a red for that

at least 5 yellow cards already and as every foul seems to earn the card, i think my prediction for a red is on the cards

Diame with a scything tackle goes through Doherty, replay showing that Diame came down on Doherty with all of his studs.
Doherty yelped and screamed when got stamped on.
Diame gets a yellow which should have been a red....
Benitez jumped up immediately defending dirty Diame....

So how is Edwards... seems he's been positively involved....

As far as responses go this is doing great so far. I reckon Newcastle will be tougher second half though!

Half time

50000 in there but very quiet for much of the time which shows how well we have played - Newcastle have had a couple of periods of pressure but can think themselves lucky to still have 11 on the pitch - Diame challenge didn't sound good at all

Stand outs have been Bod, CBJ, Saiss & Ikeme though Texeira stuggling a bit

Got a French colleague called Romain, he doesn't pronounce it 'ayne'

Not sure then. I know that the umlaut means his surname is definitely two distinct syllables though, so Size is definitely wrong.

Ro-ma Sai-iss is pretty close as far as an English phonetic breakdown would go.

"Size" is all kinds of wrong for the surname.
