Neves and Semedo tied MOTM for me that half, everyone else 6/10 bar Collins (5/10) and Jonny (4/10), IMO.

I think we’re pretty dull.

On paper we have so much attacking talent and flair, I just don’t see enough of it.

I feel like we’re a pretty slow team.

We shouldn’t be losing the central midfield against Longstaffe and Joelinton in a million years - but somehow we are.

Newcastle have been able to just play between the lines to much its been very easy for them to get the ball on the half turn

Decent first half but a bit frustrating. Our countering is pretty ponderous and we just don't attack with conviction. That short corner ending in a throw-in for them just took the piss.

At least we have the lead, Neves goal took the roof off Molineux.

Surely more to come from us, especially the new boys, second half

Everyone bar Jonny and Collins have done okay for me. Making the most of our ridiculous tactics (if you can even call them that).
But over the top I think there. We've had a couple of good chances, wide men both playing well, and we've defended largely well. Nunes and Joao haven't shown enough quality, and Raul needs to be stronger as he's not getting free kicks. I can see once we have a striker with a little more strength and pace we'll have a completely different dynamic. Raul's regression from one Europe's top number 9s to a Danny Ings tribute act is a big problem

I just don’t know if he suits Lage’s way of playing. Under Nuno he’d come into midfield to play it onto Traore/Jota on the counter-attack and then bust a gut to get in the box. Lage seems to very much want a striker who can run onto those near post and far post balls, which at the moment only Nunes really does.

Been surprisingly impressed with Willock and Longstaff. Too much of the game in and around our penalty area. Nunes very lucky with the shirt pull. But it's goals that count.

Feels a bit like Tuesday, we play well in patches but seem to go flat now and again.
One of the 3 chances before we scored has to go in, we've created 4 really good chances.
Neto and Nunes should both hit the target and Raul should do better with his.
Defending pretty well, heart in mouth for their penalty shout, tbf those happen in every game and if given people would be saying too many soft penalties.
Alan, what you on about, 5/10 Collins, 4/10 Jonny? Apart from one ricket Collins has done well Jonny has been fine.

They have clear instructions - when to press, when to sit. They're limited, but playing well because they have a tactically astute manager.

Sloppy. Most of them appear to be short of a yard. Sa having far too much of the ball.
Disjoint between front and middle 3. Think Nunes made one run.
Magic from Ruben.

@sycophantia Jonny’s distribution has been really, really poor again today, IMO. And Collins one flub really should have been punished with a goal.

If it’s still 1-0 after 60-65 minutes I think I’d be tempted to bring Traore on: Newcastle are going to be pushing for that equaliser and he’ll peg them back ten yards/give them something else to think about.

That's a red!

Fucking awful refereeing, Jesus.

Schar gets lucky because he catches him on the ankle rather than the shin, bit higher and he walks.

Don’t think it matters if he’s going for the ball btw, but probably just about low enough that it’s a yellow
