I get pretty bad packing anxiety for some reason. I once spent twenty minutes walking up and down in my hotel room on a Sunday morning, and all I was doing that morning was moving hotel five minutes down the road (so just needed to repack a load of stuff to move).

Couple of months ago I applied for a bike mechanic job, had phone interview with area manager, video call with a regional manager, went into the workshop for a practical assessment and chat with the workshop manager who said I was good enough for the job and recommended I be taken on, I then got ghosted completely by the company.
Anyway the same job was advertised last week only part time rather than the full time one I applied for, applied for it, just got an email back saying sorry, but we feel your qualifications don’t fit what we need at this time!
How does that work? Last time I applied I was recommended to be taken on by the manager of where I would be working now I’m not suitably qualified with exactly the same qualifications and experience you were very happy about

Tough enough navigating difficult challenges but completely unfair when you give it your best shot and you find the other side isn’t playing with a straight bat or moving the bloody goalposts. How are you supposed to deal with that?

Had another email for a driving job where they feel I’m not experienced enough ( driving a transit minibus on a school run)
Fair point I suppose, I’ve only driven transits on school runs, single and double deckers around the roads of mid wales, coaches in and around the Uk and Europe in my driving career.
