I grew up as a kid in the 60s and 70s in suburban Wednesfield and we could recognise the different accents and dialects in Wednesfield but also in new fangled and extended Wolverhampton. Bilston was different to East Wolverhampton was different to Old Village Wednesfield was different to Tettenhall was different to rural Penn. As for the variations within the Black Country.... Wow!

I will say that, without a doubt, most folks wouldn’t even know to think that they’re entirely different accents. By and large, everything just gets lumped in British (the laziest, obviously), English, Scottish, etc.

1 from Gov.uk - Attend the court unless you get an email telling you to stay away. No email, turn up.

So I have stay away and turn up unless told to turn up and stay away. Got ya.

Yeah right. We also don't have to work on Saturday mornings eg as Wolverhampton Grammar School and many factories did, so what's the point of any bank holidays?
Tory Telegraph Toerags are on the golf course on Friday afternoons but that doesn't count, does it?
