I used MyComicShop as they seemed clued up on the paperwork. Had some very expensive RPG books charged on and the publishers in the states seem to be less keen to even sell to the UK market now.

I seem to remember MCS being very hit and miss with their grading, and in turn the pricing. I never used them myself but they had a massive customer base so much have been doing something right.

Yeah it's bloody annoying. Lots of food outlets now sign up for a scheme called Too Good To Go, where you order a food package on their app for a couple of quid and you get stuff that is going to be thrown out or not used.

Someone yesterday was talking about Too Good To Go and I recalled this post, so out of curiosity downloaded the app today.

Didn’t see the appeal to begin with but as the day went on and couldn’t be arsed to cook, took a random punt on a Pret A Manger £4 bag to be collected before 5.30pm closing.

No idea if it was beginners luck or not but wow, 2 x Prosciutto Macaroni Cheese (£8.30 each) and 2 x Felafel & Halloumi wraps (£7 each).

Might be worth a look if you’re on a tight budget or if there’s something on offer conveniently close by and you’re pretty open minded, Have to say as a first experience, awesome.

Shocking state of affairs! Football Association of Ireland , you know that leading collection of star footballers, leaders and fucking hangers on, peering into the gloom of the future have just refused to follow the government's edict that all such bodies must have a minimum of 40% females on the board, I'll paste the first part of a column published this morning...

At an FAI EGM last night, delegates voted against a proposal that would achieve a minimum of 40% female representation on the Association’s board, as is being insisted by the government.

The proposal needed a 75% majority to pass, but fell short, getting only 66.67%, which broke down as 76 votes in favour and 38 against.

As one delegate subsequently told The 42, “the FAI has voted to halve its own funding.”

Any sports body failing to comply with the government’s gender balance by the end of the year will have its funding cut by 50%, which in the FAI’s case amounts to €5.3 million. This would be crippling for an organisation mired in €44 million of debt and without a main sponsor.

Strangely, the main place where I have no energy/motivation is at home, and it is the sheer volume of stuff that needs doing at home that is weighing me down.

Getting a bollocking at work because I didn’t deliver to a garage I couldn’t find without a name outside or a unit number and didn’t answer the phone when I rang for directions on a run down industrial estate that looked completely derelict anyway.

It's such a non story, one of the many reasons I stopped buying newspapers over 30 years ago.
