Given the thread title, I'd just like to say thank you to the moderators we have now, and have had in the past, for the unpaid time and effort they've given up to make this place grow and be a little bit of a community. Excepting the above, being a mod is a thankless task.

I'd also be surprised if any elections improved the experience at least, though not to say it can't be considered in the future. The recent reminder of the rules helped for sure.
