It is nice to remind United plastics that they have had two great managers in the history of the club and are now simply reverting to the mean while waiting for the next great manager in about twenty years
I’ve been posting this a lot on twitter, asking them being as the wheels are coming off this might be worth a callIMG_4812.jpeg

I've never been a fan of RAN. RAN gets caught up in trying to do the spectacular when the standard pass would work. GON let him do whatever he wanted and as the season ran on, he became more of a ME player and not a Team player. It finally boiled over vs. Ipswich and he received his 1 game suspension. Keep in mind RAN was benched in favor or Hugo Bueno under Lopetegui. If anything, Rodrigo has shown he can play at this level and Vitor will give him even more confidence. So, I let Rodrigo start against United and let his energy be infectious.

Must starts for me, against manure
Sa, Semedo, Santi, Rodrigo
Andre, Joao,
Guedes, Strand, Cunha.
I would leave toti in for his speed and athleticism, so a toss up between Dawson and Doc.
Ran as a sub.

Just think he needs some decent coaching.

I said the other week that he’s our most misunderstood player and it will always be that way because of the way he plays the game. He’s often labelled as someone that can’t defend when it’s so blatantly not true when you actually watch him defend and the stats back it up and so do the optics when you look at the chances and goals we concede.

Gary made his task so difficult too by asking him to play so many different roles and positions as seen in the Bournemouth game. What he needs is a manager who gives gim strict instructions to maximise what you want out of him, whether that’s as a left back, wing back or an attacking midfielder. He’s improved in the final third quite a lot in the last year, he’s added goals and assists and in particular his crossing is much better.

Obviously he’s not perfect, he often holds on to the ball too long in the wrong areas and his fitness while improving still isn’t where it needs to be but i do think being given better instructions will help him. It will be interesting to see if Vitor can get the best out of him in whichever capacity he uses him.

I think along with sarabia, he might be off in jan, especially if jeff spends more than a fiver in jan

Those type of transfers don't happen in January very often and he's worth less now than at the start of the season, so we'd be better for both football and financial reasons keeping hold of him. The rest has been said by Slink

Not liking the look of this fog on the way to Wolverhampton. Currently passing Albrighton, if it's bad at the ground as here, little chance it goes ahead.
