Man Utd 1-0 Wolves: Verdict Thread

I still don't think it's corruption, and I'm adamant that it's just an incredible run of utter incompetence but these decisions are getting worse all the time, and it makes PGMOL look ridiculously inept.
I think there is a bias there, whether it's conscious or unconscious is another question.

Michael Salisbury was the VAR ref who got stood down for the all the cock ups he made in the Spurs v Brighton game back in April, so what for him must be a couple of games later he does that last night. He needs to be publicly sacked by Webb if he wants to start getting any credibility.
He should never had been able to perform the role again after that Brighton game. Blatantly incompetent.

I think they just bottled a big decision against a big team to be honest.
If it was an isolated incident I'd agree with you but it's a recurring theme isn't it?

VAR will forensically examine one incident while completely ignoring another and it seems to be reliant on what team will benefit by intervening.

Not a doubt in my mind that there's a huge bias towards the PL's preferred ambassadors. The rest of us are just making up the numbers.

Sá need to keep himself more calm in goal and not rush out on every ball..also dont wait until the opposition player closes you down all the time before you pass it out/clear it..

No doubt from where I'm watching. The officials are either inept or corrupt. No one can be so consistently poor at their job without a concerted effort to be so.

Corrupt it is then. They can stick their apologies up their arses. Blowing smoke doesn't achieve anything. Webb thinks saying sorry gives the PGMOL free reign to carry on being really fucking shit. Cunts.

I said it earlier, the officials may not be deliberately corrupt but they are intimidated easily by the big teams and the pressure applied by those teams, so are scared to give game changing decisions against them in favour of the 'lesser' teams. So the ultimate result is that the results are corrupt in favour of the big teams.

“They’ll have to give me a card for my reaction as well. How can that not be a penalty?” - Graeme le Saux on NBC comms realizing that VAR aren’t even sending Moss to the monitor

On the new system for time wasting and dissent.

All for it but when Neto got his booking last night, the smug look on the lino's face as if he was a 8 year old saying "Told you I would tell Dad...you are in trouble now...nananana" he is lucky Neto didn't double down and get the red.

Some of the bans for 5 yellow cards are going to be fun - RAN suspended for 1 bad foul and 4 x slow throw ins

All whilst AWB can go and put a dreadful challenge in and not get booked.

Raising the bar for challenges, but lowering the bar for time wasting and dissent bookings looks fucking ridiculous.

Thought at the time. If you get a full back on a yellow. Just make sure you are really tight on throw ins and they should be sent off. It won't happen though, which is why the entire system is a farce.

BREAKING🚨: Referee Simon Hooper, VAR Michael Salisbury and AVAR Richard West all DROPPED for this weekend's Premier League appointments after collective failure to award Wolves a penalty at Old Trafford last night. Move is part of PGMOL chief Howard Webb's demand for greater accountability.

So there it is in writing all THREE of them didn't feel it was a penalty.

That's pretty fucked up.
