Team news
Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim hinted that he will rotate some of his players after their midweek European heroics.

It was confirmed earlier this week that Joshua Zirkzee will miss the rest of the season but Victor Lindelof and Noussair Mazraoui are expected to be available after both had to deal with personal issues in midweek.

Wolves will assess Jean-Ricner Bellegarde and Matt Doherty, who came off with injuries in the win over Tottenham last weekend, while Hwang Hee Chan is also a doubt.

Wanderers have named the same starting line-up for the past five matches.

Match facts
Head-to-head

Manchester United have lost just one of their last 13 home league games against Wolves (W9, D3), a 1-0 defeat in January 2022.

Wolves could achieve their first league double over United since the 1979-80 season.

Manchester United

Manchester United's only two wins in their past nine league matches both came against clubs in the bottom three.

They have won just one of their last five Premier League games at Old Trafford (D2, L2).

United are guaranteed to record their lowest ever Premier League points total – they got 58 points in 2021-22 but can get a maximum of 56 this season.

Ruben Amorim's side have lost 14 league fixtures this season, equalling a club record set last year. They last suffered more top-flight defeats in 1989-90, losing 16 times.

United have conceded the opening goal in 19 Premier League games this season, equalling a club record.

They have won all four of their home league matches played on Easter Sunday by an aggregate score of 9-1.

Wolverhampton Wanderers

Wolves could win five consecutive top-flight matches for the first time since 1970.

They are also vying for four away league victories in a row.

Wolves have also named the same starting line-up in five successive matches.

Jorgen Stand Larsen is aiming to become the first Wolves player to score in five consecutive Premier League appearances since Henri Camara in 2004.

Mateus Cunha needs one more goal to become the third Brazilian to reach 15 goals in a season, emulating Roberto Firmino and Gabriel Martinelli.

Sounds like Johnstone won't be available for bench warming again

JRB, Doc and Hwang are doubts too

With similar formations, Judah and Keen said there's only Fernandes who'd get in our 11. I'd put Mainoo and Maguire in there instead of pick your CM and Doherty/Toti, but player for player we have the better 11, which is pretty bizarre

I'd have Maguire in for either of Doc or Toti, obviously Fernandes gets in most teams.
Do you see Mainoo as an attacking midfielder? He's not getting in before Gomes or Andre for me on current form.

Mainoo can be whatever you want him to be, he's only just coming back from injury. Imo he's on the way to being elite. Not a knock on Gomes, but as an 8 I think he's better

Let’s start Cunha this time, please.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't start Sunday, Bellegarde has had a knock, why risk him? Also, although Bellegarde has been good in the last few months, don't think he has been quite at the same level in the last few games.
Keen and Judah were saying it makes it easier to bring Cunha back, personally I don't think Vitor gives a shit what anyone thinks, he'll go for what he thinks is the best option.

I just gave the example of Cunha because we have spoken to him

Good luck to Cunha, if he goes there.

Man Utd are a fucking shambles - top to bottom.

And Amorim is exactly the same type of fraud as GON was.

Something about it would always be Santi replacing a CB during a game, but Djiga would be the replacement for Doc if it was a start

(I think it was EP anyway, apologies if not)

Surely Semedo would be RCH as we HAVE to have a full back in one of the CH positions?
