Just as City looked to be building the pressure on the hosts, Hwang stuns the champions, drilling a loose ball past Walker on the line and into the net.
Wolves created the chance down City's right again, with Akanji only clearing a cross to Hwang, whose shot was blocked by Dias.
Cunha then smartly set up Hwang for the rebound, taking Ederson out of the game - and once again pegging back City.
