Coady thought he was gonna take a hit but Mane got his boot out of the way. It’s not a pen and VAR did it’s job. Still in this though

I initially thought of it was against any other side in the division that’s a penalty. But against Liverpool, it’s overturned.

But it’s difficult to disagree with the decision. He’s expecting contact and dived.

I think we have actually played well and potentially been the better team apart from the Coady error.

It’s been an ok first half - we’re only behind because of a bad error by Connor, we’ve played ok. Not brilliantly however because we’ve not created enough. The front three look lively but we need a bit more from the midfield. Neves has been ok to be fair, some nice balls pinged wide and working hard.

Swap Neves for Silva, go back to what looked best against Arsenal last week.

If we could keep possession of the ball for more than 2 seconds we might get free kicks too.

Can understand how we've set up but don't think it's working, Silva to act as the pivot/focal played a big part last week and it's missing.

Should be getting Neto to run at Williams every opportunity we can, he's already on a yellow and can be a bit rash, every chance he'll pick up a 2nd.

Shot ourselves in the foot, so infuriating.

Although it went against us VAR got that correct. No contact. We've played ok, but they are so good going forward you can't gift them goals like Coady did. Awful mistake. But going forward we have played ok.

Not sure we need the extra midfielder in the second half. Podence can do the defensive work fine. We look a real threat on the break but could do with Silva in the box when we get it wide quickly. Get him on as soon as possible for me.

We need Silva on I think. Someone to aim for with crosses and he has the ability to make runs across defenders. Watch Traore and Podence when they head into the box they just wander in with no real purpose, theyll never get on the end of anything.

But Podence has been anonymous apart from.that one nice early chip, so not sure the set up is quite working. Traore and Neto are getting in good positions then realising there's no one to cross to tall enough!

Where’s Nuno had this 4 at the back hidden up his sleeve! Makes me think where could we have been. Still, I accept that our growth has been rapid and there is no way we could have played 4 at the back with Doc and Vinagre.

Agree with this. His movement will pose problems for their makeshift defence too.
