I would expect a few boos tomorrow but it’ll literally a moronic few hundred I fully expect most Liverpool fans to show common decency in this situation.
Unfortunately when the minority behave like morons it tarnishes the rest.
There’s a time to be anti establishment and there’s a time to just let it go for just 1 minute prior to kick off of a game.
I agree. Which may surprise you. It is no great burden to be respectful for a short period of time.

My concern, as we saw last year, is the over doing it and going for the days of sackcloth and ashes. It’s a sad event and her life should be commemorated in the appropriate manner. If that involves some cancellations this weekend so be it. If it involves minutes of silence then it is something that should be respected.

It most definitely isn’t the time for the “royal family” debate. Even as a fairly staunch republican I am all on board with that being parked until after a suitable period.

Yep just looking at it from humanistic point view is probably the most appropriate at this time which it what you’ve done hopefully most can do the same.

It's a difficult one, I understand the stance of state mourning, but to go for a protracted enforced period of public mourning makes us look like a post Soviet era state that has lost a Dictator, conversely she was our Sovereign for longer than any other and we should show respect for that.

Personally I feel that fixtures should be played out and we can pay our respects. Grieving (if it is that) should be a private affair and left to individuals to decide upon.

So the chair of the DCMS has said something different to this really

Some people saying the Funeral will be Monday 19th September

19th seems to be the date @Kenny , as the 10 days takes it to a sunday, which would be potentially unusual.
At work, we're being asked for details of events planned for the 19th, so looks like contingencies are being put into place to move everything from that day.

I really wouldn’t want to make this call the schedule is congested enough but outside pressure might be telling. Within the football community I don’t see to many objections if it goes ahead it’ll come from those outside the game.

Would be there be a reduction in attendance if they were to go ahead? I’ve got non-refundable trains and a hotel tomorrow night in Liverpool, so looks like I’ll be going no matter the decision.

PL and EFL games postponed this weekend

Dont think there’s an available window to squeeze the games in prior to the WC.

Could well be no PL football until 1st October, given the international break. Guess more details will come out later.

My personal opinion is they should have continued with the games. Let people pay their respects in the way they choose. Football would have been a nice release for a lot of people. Fans will have paid for tickets/hotels/trains/flights etc that are now effectively useless. Most people, I assume, have carried on at work today as normal (I know I have!).

As soon as the government did a sideways hospital pass and gave the decision to the PL they were going to cancel, rather than face a potential backlash of people saying they're "disrespectful".

If the League Cup 3rd round is November, not a chance they are rearranged this side of the World Cup.

I will be very surprised if the games next week are postponed.

More than likely we have a pre-set list of things to be done - silence, Nation Anthem, probably something involving the local Armed Forces.

Only games to go next weekend will be any planned for the Monday
