I agree. Which may surprise you. It is no great burden to be respectful for a short period of time.I would expect a few boos tomorrow but it’ll literally a moronic few hundred I fully expect most Liverpool fans to show common decency in this situation.
Unfortunately when the minority behave like morons it tarnishes the rest.
There’s a time to be anti establishment and there’s a time to just let it go for just 1 minute prior to kick off of a game.
My concern, as we saw last year, is the over doing it and going for the days of sackcloth and ashes. It’s a sad event and her life should be commemorated in the appropriate manner. If that involves some cancellations this weekend so be it. If it involves minutes of silence then it is something that should be respected.
It most definitely isn’t the time for the “royal family” debate. Even as a fairly staunch republican I am all on board with that being parked until after a suitable period.
