All of the the teams in the mix are better than us so it doesn’t really make any difference

I mean really? Spurs dwarf us in their income especially considering the extra cash they get from concerts and NFL games.
As said they’ll easily be able to get players playing for them who should be in the pl because they know it’s only a short term thing.

Playing for Tottenham in that stadium makes a massive difference over Forest. I don’t think they'd beat us out on a potential signing if the money was the same unless they preferred the manager, knew some of the players etc. Spurs damn well would, every single time.

They dwarf all the income of the entire league and they are getting relegated FFS!

We’ve both got dreadful recruitment so we probably don’t want to be signing the same players!

No they don’t and competing against clubs getting £100m a year is a world apart from competing with Millwall, Derby, Hull who don’t have that yearly backing.
PL income means most clubs can purchase a level of quality that makes them competitive if they do it properly.
Bit like us dropping into league 1 still getting parachute dosh. Just took a re-set and we walked the league.

Not really too fussed which one of Forest or Spurs finishes ahead of us tbh.

Every team will treat a game against them as a cup final, I don’t think it's a guarantee they'd walk it but yes they will be right up there. However it would be brilliant.

And why are people so quick to dismiss our great escape plans...?

When Tottenham sacked Stellini they were the first Prem team (that I can think of) to have sacked a caretaker/interim coach. Wonder if they will again? Fans already seem to hate Tudor. I'm sure they have morons texting in like we do but I've seen two separate suggestions on the BBC across different games of fans saying they should sack him and bring Redknapp back. Bringing him back to relegate them would be the cherry on the cake for me, not to mention the insane trolley dash they would do in the Championship probably wouldn't even work out. I'd love it.

I wonder with such a ferociously tight 3 way relegation battle they will drive each other forwards in the pursuit of points and it’ll be Leeds in that get caught off guard and overtaken by all of them.

They’re more off the radar than they should be given the relatively slender points advantage they have.

I know its Talksport @Elephant Pyjamas but the amount of times various presenters and callers have called for Redknapp this past couple of weeks is unreal. It's as if everyone forgets he's about 86 now and his last job was almost a decade ago with Brum in the Championship and he was terrible!

He knows de clab innit...

Newcastle been relegated twice won the league at the first time of asking with 102 and 94 points and that was with the handicap of Mike Ashley.

Spurs going down would be effectively like Birmingham in League One last season.

Spurs going down won't affect us because we'll be in full ghost club status by then.

I've heard it said that the talent level of that Newcastle squad should never have been near relegation. Before my time, though.
