Good response from Leeds to losing against Arsenal. They’re playing with confidence and I think they’ll stay up comfortably this year but could well be looking carefully at who gets promoted next season as there’s not much quality but plenty of heart.

I am a bit harsh. 18 years? Blimey. I always thought of him as a bit of a spoofer.

Curbishley was a good manager and his teams played decent football. He just got far too picky about what kind of job he wanted and eventually got forgotten about.

Picky or had a high opinion of himself? There's been numerous like that. Still is.
Goes with the territory I suppose.
Some take a liking to a manager, some don't. With him I didn't.
Then again I'm an iconoclast. It's innate for some reason.

Didn't want a job where there was a high chance of relegation. Didn't want to work too far outside of London, if at all. Didn't want to work outside the Premier League. Wasn't going to get a top 6 job.

Yeah, I think we're coming to the same conclusion from different angles. You've got a much better recall than me (who hasn't).

Wish I could shake this iconoclast stuff. As I say it's innate.
It's sometimes unhealthy as it gets me into unnecessary, pointless arguments.
