Live Match Discussion 2025/26

I don't like what City are or what they represent these days (I used to go and watch them midweeks at Maine Road when they were a very different club) but would 100% want them to win it over this version of Arsenal with that cunt in charge.

Not Villa though, no. I have to work in Birmingham.

Villa winning it would be hell yep individually all the Villa fans I know are decent people as a collective fanbase they’re one of the most egotistical out there.

Much prefer City to Man Utd, Arsenal or Villa. At least when they win it you can shrug your shoulders as with their finances they bloody well should!

City, Arsenal, Villa in that order pls
Im in a minority of those who don’t get irked by Man Utd anymore I used to as a teenager but as I grew up I ended up respecting what they achieved.

On the PL, it’s just actually not that good at the minute and neither are any of the leagues around Europe.
Fulham are sat 7th and wouldn’t shine a light to our sides that came 7th not long ago. Being well organised and functional is getting teams a lot further than it usually would do. Most the sides that come from 7th- 17th are very similar.

Agreed.

Although it does stick in the throat that they still haven't faced any punishment, how long has it been now?

Outrageous.

And just like clockwork Simon Stone slaps up an article on the beeb asking whether Carrick should have the permanent gig.

It's like they don't remember the Solskjaer omnishambles.

It's tedious isn't it. He's done well in two games where they weren't expected to win. Trying to extrapolate any idea as to his long-term ability from that is nuts.

Norwich beating Coventry sees our dear stripey friends drop a little bit deeper into trouble. And the shit are away at Portsmouth at the weekend. Now, if Blackburn could somehow beat Hull, which is a tough ask and Portsmouth could win that game then they will drop below the dotted line. And an Oxford win against Blues would be a cherry on the top of the icing of that particular cake.
