Live Match Discussion 2025/26

Do we think he’s going to get the sack? They are awful to watch and hard to see where it’s going
I hated his football at Brentford (he seems a nice guy but it's genuinely awful).

Was a Levy hire so he has to be vulnerable, as with last season Europe is muddying the waters a bit as somehow they're doing alright there.

He's effectively the epitome of that Argentina side that got to the Italia 90 final, he'd fit in with that lot perfectly.

I mean the most blatant of blatant handballs and Everton players are still moaning

Jam Tarts are going to win the fucking league

Yep a massive three points clear if Celtic win their game in a hand (they were already ten points clear a couple of months back). Then only another five months to avoid choking, trying to do something no other team has done in 40 years. I wouldn't be holding my breath.

Hopefully I will be wrong though, I'd rather it was Aberdeen if it ever happens.

A brace (both Christmas crackers) for Morgan Rogers in Villa's 2-1 win over United. £8m was the initial fee they paid Boro for him, we paid half of that to get RE

Terrible standard in the Blues V Derby game. Ref given blues 2 kind decisions Klarer should be off for a second yellow and clear handball in lead up to equalising goal

Just watched five minutes of Albion v Bristol City. Christ, the Championship is of abject quality. A reminder of what's to come next year. Awful.

Not much different to watching us this year then?

Norwich in 23rd are only 15 points adrift of the play offs FFS just a free for all down there.

Different. We look like an aberration; a team that shouldn't even be in the league we're meant to be competing in. The championship matches I've seen bits of today consistently show teams with no real regard for possession, sliced hoofs into channels, persistent turnovers of possession from both teams on the pitch: unashamed mediocrity.

Wrexham vs Sheff Utd has been entertaining (chaos, but entertaining)

It's also why I am not looking forward to watching next year. VAR overturns that pen as the defender doesn't touch him, not looking forward to this crap, regardless of if it takes 'too long'.

The vast majority of VAR decisions go against us, on that probability it will work in our favour.

Regardless of that either way I’m looking forward to be being actually able to celebrate a goal once again

I find that a bit of a misnomer Tred. The idea that fans aren't celebrating goals or are reluctantly celebrating them compared to the past feels massively exaggerated. Goals are still ruled out for all sorts of reasons without VAR, and we get the benefit in the Prem goals are scored people dont celebrate as feel its offside, then they check and it counts.

The issue with VAR is we are crap now and so none of the good aspects of it apply for us, not VAR itself.
