I don’t watch much non-Wolves Premier League TBH, but I saw the West Ham game last night and the score line honestly is a freak. West Ham far superior, though that’s a relative observation. Although you’ve clearly ‘got to make it count Chappers’, on another day they’re running away with that game. Suspect that other day will be Monday.I watched West Ham against Newcastle last Monday and they were excellent. Perhaps that was their equivalent of us at Flum. If we lose tonight surely one of Lop or GO will be gone by Tuesday morning.
No one has a clue how to deal with it it’s actually funny. Load of zonal men nowhere near the ball and a load of men running in with free headersArsenal have taken Pulis ball to a whole new level.
Yeah they’ve completely cracked it for the time beingNo one has a clue how to deal with it it’s actually funny. Load of zonal men nowhere near the ball and a load of men running in with free headers
Bit old man vibes here (from me) but I'm continually surprised how few players take real time responsibility for things that happen in moments in game and dont do things to try and mitigate them.Don't think I've seen anyone even try to do anything specific to stop them yet - everyone just stands there and watches it happen.
There's a great clip somewhere with Henry talking about this when he went to Barca - went off piste, scored a goal and ended up in Pep's bad books.*Back in my day* players/leaders would make on field tactical decisions to mitigate problems and it wouldn't get them in trouble with their managers, it was an expectation. Managers knew that things happened in real time and they brought in players to help with that.
Now, football is so incredibly micro managed that players aren't expected to lean away from the managers directions, even if they can clearly see that aspects of them aren't working at all.
If any of our backroom staff are still in place when we next play them then they'll likely score from every corner they get.
Ain`t got none mate.*Back in my day* players/leaders would make on field tactical decisions to mitigate problems and it wouldn't get them in trouble with their managers, it was an expectation. Managers knew that things happened in real time and they brought in players to help with that.
