Live Match Discussion 2024/25

Could be Rodri, could be Pep going stale, could be that it’s simply not possible to maintain their ludicrous consistency for this long.

I’m on the third.

As good as he is, I think this could well be possible. He's had a wobble once before in 19/20, wasn't until about halfway through the next season when he worked out how to make City a winning machine again. Might be something of a transition year by City's standards.

Could still win this game mind. Spurs are open and are giving up chances...

Spurs have thrown away at least three games this season where they were in a ridiculously commanding position in terms of chances and general play and being in front. So it's never over.

I don't actually think this is a very good City squad relative to their best years, too many players either a year or two past their peak or simply not good enough.

0-3! Completely carved open.

Ederson should be saving that, practically straight at him (whip on the ball ends up taking it into the corner).

Looks like we missed out on playing Man City at just the right time only by a couple of weeks.

You'd love to be playing them next weekend at home now. Liverpool get that honour and could easily extend their poor run to 5 losses in a row.

Spurs stealing our thunder with the performance of the day.

Only saw the first half but City could've easily scored 4-5 themselves by that point on another day - they defenders the Spurs goals terribly but from what I saw could've just been one of those freak days where all the fine margins fall the same way.

It was in a way but it was alarming how City fell apart after the first spurs goal

Maddison's first was their first touch in the City box and Vicario made some good saves.

They just look brittle though. Remember we should have gone 2-0 up against them.

It's his legs not mind, he's never been the greatest reader of the game, many a time he's given a yard or two and recovered. Can't do that and his game has gone
Bit of both. Your legs don't go over the space of a few months. Unless you're not putting it in in training. For whatever reason.
I said he'd lost it a couple of months ago. Not long after his self inflicted 'personal problems' were reported.

They do. I could give you NFL examples of Cornerbacks who have fallen off a cliff. You lose that twitch and you are gone and that's what he relied on.

Add in the loss of such an important player and players around you having their confidence affected too. It all adds up
