Luuk de Jong has something like 8g and 6a already this season over there.

Damn Palhinha’s gonna have to go back onto the pitch for his jockstrap later after that whiff.

How Guimaraes doesn't get red for a forehand elbow is beyond me... VAR took a look, nothing doing. Two huge decisions in their favour in two weeks for Newcastle.

VAR taking absolutely forever again in the Newcastle game for a decision. On to their third reason to try and chalk off this goal.

Eventually confirmed.

And now Newcastle get another one... debatable if the ball went out, a clear push and def. not offiside.... but we'll give them a goal!

Gabriel was totally looking for the decision so I'm glad it wasn't ruled out for that.

Doesn't even appeal for a foul either and he's as an obnoxious centre half you're likely to find.

Hmmmm I think Newcastle can consider themselves very lucky on that

It defnitely isn’t a foul on Gabriel.
Definitely wouldn’t go that far but it’s probably a fair call ball looks out to me unless they can prove the overhang is still in.

Still struggling (outside of some sort of Mendes style agent chicanery) to work out why in the hell did Arsenal sign Havertz after he was an absolute bust at Chelsea. Oh and also give them £60 million for the pleasure.

They wouldn’t be given a foul on the halfway line, rightly not given live. Why then try and give it a foul because a goal was scored?

I said the foul was fair call gods sake

That's not how it works. The goal was given so they have to prove it's out. They can't.

The offside is suspect but not sure anybody can say it isn't.

How Guimaraes is still on the pitch is a mystery up there with the whole Arsenal Havertz thing.

I know that’s how it works, the luck is it’s probably out, it could’ve been a foul (I don’t think it is) and it could easily have been off so there’s the luck, others clubs aren’t so lucky

If you know that then why post the first time you thought the contrary?

As said thought they were lucky as the on field could easily have gone against them which would’ve meant them sticking with the original call of no goal.

The original call was a goal though 🤷

But could’ve easily been disallowed on all three calls on field depending on who is making the call. It’s not a howler as they’ve gone through the right process it’s luck as in anyone one of the 3 calls could easily have been viewed differently on field and it being disallowed or play being stopped especially on the ball out of play another assistant could easily have flagged that as out.
