Yeah, my immediate thought was offside, and so it proved. About a foot, but whether it's 2 mms or 6 yards, it's offside.
The first set of lines show he's at least level;. VAR then changed the goalposts and used the lines that do show he's off. But he's not clearly offside at all.Neville is being very odd with his comments regarding the offside just now, it was clearly offside, even on the first viewing, and even more so once the lines are drawn, then he starts talking about the angle. The angle is irrelevant, software draws the lines doesn't it? As long as there is an angle that shows everything (unlike at Anfield for us last season)
Not debating that it’s not a foot offside if so I’m about 12ft in heightYeah, my immediate thought was offside, and so it proved. About a foot, but whether it's 2 mms or 6 yards, it's offside.
That’s not 1ft
How many times have we seen the lines on top of oneanother? That's when it's close. That’s not 1ft
The angle also doesn’t give clear indication when the ball is played either
It is firstly for the reasons you’ve stated and the angle doesn’t clearly show when the ball is played. How many times have we seen the lines on top of oneanother? That's when it's close.
This is not close.
Now whether it actually came off the Everton player is a different question, but in terms of controversial or close VAR offside decisions, this isn't one really is it?
I think he did, just.Don't think Gabriel even passes it forward. It's stupid.
I mean, it is probably about a foot. Which is modern VAR terms is milesThat’s not 1ft
The angle also doesn’t give clear indication when the ball is played either
"Daylight" why? That Gabriel pic is all false for VAR use, use the shot that's on his instep, instead of the pic that the ball is just come to him. Use of daylight should be implemented. It should be the next frame used and then for me NKetiah is onside.
You tell me why not.."Daylight" why?
Because it has never been part of the offside law in the entirety of it's history, so why now?You tell me why not..
Well the powers that be along with Arsene Wenger are trying to implement the striker being a body width further forward being onside. Or Ive been in dream land when it was spoke of last season. Now that seems rather more ludicrous then my daylight suggestion.Because it has never been part of the offside law in the entirety of it's history, so why now?
Why change it?Well the powers that be along with Arsene Wenger are trying to implement the striker being a body width further forward being onside. Or Ive been in dream land when it was spoke of last season. Now that seems rather more ludicrous then my daylight suggestion.
Don’t start me on why “daylight” is total utter nonsense. And that’s before we consider you’re just moving the linesWell the powers that be along with Arsene Wenger are trying to implement the striker being a body width further forward being onside. Fair enough, but lets get VAR to use the correct still first then. The Gabriel still above is bollocks nonsense.Don’t start me on why “daylight” is total utter nonsense. And that’s before we consider you’re just moving the lines
I don't get why it is, it's the still of him releasing the ball isn't it?Fair enough, but lets get VAR to use the correct still first then. The Gabriel still above is bollocks nonsense.
