Is it more CL spots or more spots in total ie will the EC go to 8th assuming the usual suspects win both Cups?

In trademark style UEFA's current stance is "dunno lol".

Either way it's not good if English clubs get knocked out early.

We will get the spots anyway as Arsenal and City will go very deep (likely win it). Liverpool will probably win the EL and Villa the ECL.

Not really sure how they are ranking it as we are miles ahead on the normal ranking and one slightly down year shouldn’t affect that average too much.

But if it’s a one season shootout, not sure it really matters a great deal whether Villa/Spurs/Newcastle/United are in the CL instead of the EL (unless you’re being super optimistic and think we will be in with a shout this year). I think we will finish up there anyway.

Fair comment but tonight was a cup final.
A game they could have and should have won (or at least not lost) on the play.
Went gung ho, panicked and paid the price.
Great refereeing by Danny Makkelie made it a great game to watch I thought.
