Don't think it's been mentioned, but the team they were battling for promotion with was Lincoln
I’m going to guess this is similar to my feelings towards Pompey so I recognise this (taking a lot of shit from peers growing up, plenty of meetings between the 2 teams etc).Born here my son hates Derby, on balance I think I'd rather they stay up though. Locals are resigned to going down
I didn't mind the Lampard appointment, bright guy, was always going to be a manager at some point and did a reasonable job for them, be it driven by loan players. He wasn't going to start at Orient so you may as well take him rather letting someone else do so.I hope Derby go down if only because it will be a salutary lesson that appointing managers based on the individual‘s ability as a player is ridiculous. Let the managers who start at a lower level and prove themselves get the jobs ahead of the likes of Frank and Wayne.
Sort of agree re Frank but he did no more than ok at Derby, certainly nowhere near enough to go to Chelsea.I didn't mind the Lampard appointment, bright guy, was always going to be a manager at some point and did a reasonable job for them, be it driven by loan players. Rooney was stupid
