I've sympathy with the lad to be honest.Greenwood been dire, rightly hooked.
He's one of those that just does a job, never really going to stand out in any team but I don't think he'd massively let anyone down either. Think he worked well alongside Romeu in times gone by when they had Lallana, Mane, et al ahead of them and he could get by on being the simple link player between them and midfield. Now they don't have such riches going forwards I'm sure they'd like more from him but he is what he is, a solid if unspectacular body in midfield.Make sure you set that bar nice and high
I would have him in the England squad but only as our options are so poor/average in that area.
He's been pretty poor for a while, always a good athlete but looks to have gone the same way as Danny Rose.Bertrand looked absolutely shagged with his Dohertyesque jog back for utds goal
You're absolutely right about the media coverage, no disagreements there. United have also put way too much pressure on Greenwood unfortunately, the amount of hype leaves him set up to fall.I've sympathy with the lad to be honest.
1) The media coverage of him is becoming increasingly insidious, as it was with Sterling, we all know why
2) He's only just turned 19
3) A club like Manchester United should not be relying on someone like that at this stage
