Live Match Discussion: 2020/21

Think it’s safe to say we’ll be last on MOTD2 tonight :icon_lol:
Wouldnt bother showing our game. No one is interested in a standard normal game of football these days. Crazy shit or get the fuck off my screen.

So Villa had Cash in defence, but Liverpool opted for Contactless?

Absolute madness. We've scored seven in our last nine games, and these twats have just put seven past the runaway champions. Fair play to them. At 2-0 they were still committing men forward on the counter attack and it's paid off. Obviously Liverpool have been shit, but credit to villa, they've been really incisive

They've looked more than a bit ropy at the back for quite a while now. 29 conceded in their last 16 league games now.

I expect football to return to some sort of normality the closer we get to Xmas

Villa should’ve had double figures here

Should have been eight.

I know it's a competitive relationship between Liverpool and Man Utd, but this has taken it to extremes.

Liverpool defenders playing like Sunday League Prima Donnas who've been asked to play their out of position and have no interest in doing the job, cowering away from the ball when they should be putting their bodies in there to block or opting for a lazy arm in the air instead of tracking a run. It's a fucking embarassment.

The biggest upset in PL history if you take the score into account. Think it tells you a lot about none fan football

It’s like football on the playground stuff Van Dijk, TAA in particular have been an utter shambles.

Dean Smith said back in February that he had to many training ground players after they were beaten at Southampton. Biggest examples are Target and trezuguet

Its all very entertaining in a Saturday night TV way, but the two games this afternoon/evening have just reinforced the fact and feeling that this is not proper football.

The weird thing is you would expect the more technically gifted teams with better players would deal better with the loss of fans/atmosphere

Evertonian tweet: who is you contact when the neighbours let in more than six?

It’s just plain bizarre and nor is it a coincidence, once sides settle back in and crowds start to return I’d expect a return to some levels of normal results.

Says more about the lack of preseason, IMO. The fan thing definitely has an effect but I don't think it plays that big of a role in swings like that.
