Jon Moss and whoever is on VAR proving the point again that they aren't very good. Southampton got a questionable penalty imo but City have been denied an absolute stonewaller because Foden tried to stay on his feet and tried to score. Andy Hinchcliffe also proving he's an idiot because he can't see the clear contact. Something needs to be done to improve the standard of refereeing but i'm not sure what it is.
This is a cyber ism. But I will take the flak for thinking it. Why not have two refs taking a half of the field each and acting as extra eyes on pitch. That with goal line technology and line assistance gives enough. Goal line technology to stay and VAR only used on a two ref referralDisband PGMOL. It really is that simple. A small ceremony firing Mike Riley into the sun.
Attempt to sign some referees from other leagues providing sell them the opportunity to referee in the Premier League.
Even if it was only incrementally and you binned off Moss, Coote and Mason we'd be infinitely better off for it.
The older referees who are approaching retirement age start transitioning them into VAR and giving the likes of Darren England and up and coming referees more games with an experienced voice in their ear.
Chris Kavanagh (who I think is our best referee atm) to become our most senior official.
I think I'd even accept VAR if it wasn't run by PGMOL. Its shameful these clowns are shunned on the international stage. There's no greater indicator of the state of our refereeing pedigree.
We don't have enough officials as it is (hence the likes of Moss and Mason getting kept on forever, and Bankes/Coote being inexplicably promoted), where are double the amount of referees coming from, think of the knock on effect down the leagues if the top flight hoovers up absolutely anyone half-competent.This is a cyber ism. Nothing lately mate, stacked out with all the UK/European football! But never been particularly impressed in the past. Cumbersome is about as kind as I can be. Bremen aren't very good though so not easy for forwards to prosper in their team.Hey Dan, American media is getting a tad hyped over Josh Sargent's little scoring streak (literally little, only 3 in 3 games) for Bremen. You been able to catch any glimpses of him? He's always looked a bit like a donkey for our national team.
I'll see your Freddy Adu and raise you with Jozy AltidoreFreddy Adu! Bloody hell that takes me back. The hype around him was incredible.
I remember signing him on every Championship Manager/FIFA game around that period, waiting for him to come good but just like real life he never did
