Derby get a 2nd late in stoppage time to confirm the win

Ridiculous end to the Derby game. Never a penalty and a jammy 2nd too as QPR were chasing an equaliser. Frank Lampard criticises referees at the weekend for not giving them enough penalties then guess what......

Leyton Orient all but back in the Football League. Only way they can miss out now is by losing their last game and either Salford win and turn around a 5 goal difference or Solihull Moors win and turn around 8 goals

At home to Braintree that day who are already relegated. So you’d really hope they aren’t going to get hammered by them!

They shouldn't but football and all that. A nervy 2-0 defeat and then Salford grab a 4-0 away at Hartlepool

Stonewall pen turned down for Leeds. Keith Stroud is so shit.

True. I was at the training ground on Thursday actually and the vibe was very confident. Got past a very tough game today too. Though if they did manage to mess it up, the play offs would be bloody excruciating for all involved.

Walsall were all but condemned today. Goal difference means they're likely to have to win both of their last two games (Peterborough H and Shrewsbury A). Not happening.

Sam Ricketts has got the Shrews probably safe now, not mathematically done but there are too many teams between them and the drop zone. Good work as they were awful before he took over.

Could be Villa have reached the summit a couple of games to early. Although if they do go up they’ve got an issue, very good chance Abraham’s and Mings are recalled by parent club as could Hause. They’ve got the backing but may mean re building the spine again.

Been a lot guff in press recently about how the PL needs Leeds back. Well it’s coped absolutely fine for 15 years since they’ve been absent.
Never thought I’d been saying I’d rather Albion beat Villa in the play off semi final, never known a set of fans be so self entitled as they’ve been in the last 3 years they’re like Wolves fans from the 90’s on steroids.

Two terrible goals Leeds have given away today.

That was shambolic stuff from Leeds, really dreadful.

They literally own two good players. Grealish and McGinn. Everyone else is either on loan, too old, or rubbish. They’ll be the biggest threat as their the biggest club with the most money. We could do with them staying down so they get stuck down there. Albion aren’t remotely a threat and neither are Leeds.

All the teams coming up will struggle.

McGinn is a decent footballer but I don't think he's anything like Premier League standard. There's a reason Villa got him for a pittance from a mid-table SPL team, not like he's that young either.

What was Canos doing there? Leeds basically begged him to score and he decided not to.

Would very much depend on summer recruitment, plus even if they go up it won’t stop top 6 sides sniffing around Grealish.
Think there current first 11 would stay up in the PL. If they want to purchase Abraham, Mings and Hause could see them paying close £50-60 million before they’ve improved the current squad.

When Brentford tick they play some lovely football.
Maupay is a fucker of a footballer, very hard to play against, wonder what he would be like in the PL?

I wouldn’t say so. If the current bottom 3 go down there’s not really much fodder other than Brighton, who might not actually be that bad if they change manager. Everyone else is ok so the newcomers would be instant favourites to go back. Villa yesterday had Taylor and Elmo at FB who would get destroyed, particularly with Whelan as your DM and with Grealish in their you’re going to need more protection. All their keepers are a liability.

My theory is based on the current PL Brighton will be one of the worse sides ever to survive in the PL along with Bradford, Huddersfield and Albion in 2005.

Well - I don't think Chelsea will sell them Abraham permanently. Bournemouth might want Mings back and probably won't be overly keen on him playing for a potential relegation rival.
