Live Match Discussion 2018/19

Nah - rugby and keeping an eye on City v Watford. Could really do with City beating the shit out of the Hornet massive goal difference.

City vs Watford here.

City have not been very good.

To be clear here, you're genuinely comparing James Ward-Prowse with David Beckham?

I think I'd still take Becks now.
Christ no!

But on the free kick department WP is up there

And I would take anyone over Henderson!

Yeah, he's good on dead balls. But you can't pick someone just on that basis. See Douglas, B.

Free header six yards out for Aguero, shocking miss.

He isn't close.

Scores a couple of nice ones lately obviously.

But to compare the two is to say that Karl Henry is Diego Maradona because you saw him dribble past a couple of defenders once. Or maybe that Coady (much as I love him) is Franco Baresi. It's nonsensical.

No fan of Hendo but he does a very different job to JWP.

Only way JWP should play for England is if NFL style special teams are introduced to the game

Beckham is in my humble opinion one of the finest players this country has ever had the good fortune to produce. He had EVERYTHING.

I just can't see where your argument is going Cyber.

He was a brilliant free kick taker and passer of the ball but he didn't have everything. Gerrard is probably as close as I've seen to having everything - English that is.

Gazza is the best English footballer I've ever seen. Then Rooney. Then Cashley.

Scholes has to be in the argument as well I guess.

And much as I hate to say it, our dear friend Glenn was pretty decent. Well more than pretty decent.

Never saw Glenda at his peak so I can happily write him off.

Rio was class too.

City really struggling to break Watford down, 11 men behind the ball but mostly effective so far.

Oh there are players ahead of Gerrard for sure what I meant was that he had the tools to play in almost any position. In terms of doing his job for England it's hard to look past Cashley.

In terms of sheer ability Le Tissier then Gazza.

Gerrard
Beckham
Lampard
Gascoigne
Hoddle
Robson
Keegan
Hoddle
Scholes

Try putting that lot in order of preference!

Preposterous refereeing decision allows city to take the lead.
