Live Match Discussion 2018/19

When you take your time to make a decision and still fuck it up. As soon as Sterling plays the ball he's active, doesn't matter that it comes off the Watford player

They actually get the decision right and then decide to change it. Hillarious.

And then Sterling is offside in the 1st phase but scores in the second phase for 2-0. (It’s onside in the rules, which is the fair, but Jota’s winner against Leicester was considered unfair and this is no different so should have same analysis)

3-0 hopefully City get a few more for goal difference purposes. That first goal completely changes the game though and it most definitely should not have been allowed.

City go to sleep and Deeney and Deulofeu combine with their first touches to pull one back.

Robson
Gazza
Scholes
Gerrard
Lampard
Hoddle
Beckham

Keegan wasn't a midfielder

I was about to point that out. It was about best players rather than specific positions hence why I mentioned Keggy.

Order for me:

Gascoigne
Beckham
Scholes
Gerrard
Hoddle
Lampard
Robson - and he was fucking amazing, it feels wrong to put him so low!

Even when he'd moved to LA Beckham was absolutely majestic to watch. Not a great athlete at that age anymore but if he ever was allowed to pick his head up for even half a second, the pass was always on the mark. Every damn time. It was magical.

Don't even get me started on his free kicks.

Ok then for the oldies . . .

Alan Ball
Colin Bell
Gerry Francis
Trevor Brooking

and you could add Bobby Charlton (he played behind the strikers mostly).

As great as Gascoigne was, he never achieved anywhere near what his talent deserved. Beckham the complete opposite, got everything and more out of his talent

Catching up wirh match of the day. Pickford is proper shit.

When he first came on the scene thought he was a good keeper but since he got picked for England seems to have gone backwards.....ref did Newcastle a favour not sending him off

Wouldn't call him proper shit but he seems to be cruising under no pressure for his position at Everton and England and that shows. No way should Southgate have him as his number 1 but he will and that wont help him.

It's a quandary for Southgate as the other English keepers have been collectively rubbish.

Meh, away with your balanced and reasoned view.
