Napoli were already a CL team weren't they? Mazzarri and Benitez both had them more or less where Sarri had them.
It wasn't so much an expectation that will happen, more just pencilling a scenario where that nonsense from today becomes meaningless. I doubt anyone that every might be interested in buying him will have that incident playing on their minds.
Ched Evans and Lee Hughes found clubs after much worse than refusing a sub.It does if you are good enough. Kepa isn't.
At a lower level though, which was my point earlier in the post. No top club will touch him again.Ched Evans and Lee Hughes found clubs after much worse than refusing a sub.

Plus, at the risk of trivialising Hughes and Evans, they didn't directly affect a manager in what they did - in this case no manager will trust him again.
I always liked Collymore, though I think that was just a throwback to a game when he destroyed us in the 90s.How about Craig Bellamy? Good player but not a top player. Refused to play for Souness at Newcastle. Tried to batter a team mate with a golf club at Liverpool. And yet from there managed to get a move to City (post-takeover) and even a year back at Liverpool.
If clubs perceive that there's a bargain to be had, they'll have a look. Fucking hell, we even tried to sign Collymore in 2001, though you have to make allowances for it being Dave Jones.
They're not really playing below their respective abilities though are they? It's not like either would have seen out a full career of PL football if they hadn't committed the offences. At a lower level though, which was my point earlier in the post. No top club will touch him again.

Sarri saying (publically) that he thought Kepa had cramp and should come off but the doctors said he was ok so it was right he stayed on but his conduct was wrong, a 'misunderstanding'.
I call bollocks
Kalinic refused to come on as sub for Croatia in the World Cup, got a move to Atletico the same summer. Essentially the same situation and didn't seem to put people off him, he's not especially good either.Again though, my point was his affect was on the manager - literally the guy who decides whether you play and often get bought. Not on other players, most don't have a choice about whether they play with psychopaths.
Don't really think there have been many parallels that i can think of, hope that's not me being 'naive' though.

They both ignored their managers instructions, the speed of reporting is irrelevant and it's not like Atletico signed him before the story broke.Fairly different though in that you found out about Kalinic later, we all watched the Kepa situation happen live.
