Live Match Discussion 2017/18

The Terriers are in for a very difficult last half hour after that fortunate equaliser for Chelsea.

The time wasting by Hiddersfield should be taken into account when the referee decides how time will be added on. In my opinion there should be at least eight minutes added on, but I doubt if there will be that much.

If I was still looking for a club, this match would have me firmly a Huddersfield supporter. The emotions on the supporters' faces when 6 minutes stoppage went up... Absolutely enthralling stuff. It's that kind of emotion (circa Hunt's goal against Blackburn) that really sealed Wolves for me.

Well done Huddersfield. Very happy for them.

Unless Stoke want to relegate hughes and man city fancy some fun against Southampton

I could conceivably see City winning 5-0 or whatever. No way Swansea are doling out a hammering though. They've scored two goals in their last eight games.

I know I'm in a minority of one who's starting with 17th as the first goal next year, but Cardiff and Huddersfield are good for us in achieving that target, can see Watford struggling as well.

That's where my head is too. We don't have much premier league experience so survival has to be the target.

We should surely wait until we see what we do in the transfer market before we say survival is the target. If we are budgeting to compete, as Jeff and Laurie have said, then 17th isn't the aim. Jeff said as much in Sky documentary that we aren't going there to just survive.

I stand by what I said a few weeks ago, even if we bought no-one (other than signing up all the loanees, so we have the exact same squad as we have now), I'd back us to beat pretty much anyone in the bottom half, home or away. Obviously you aren't going to win all of those games (though it'd be nice) but I would consider us to be favourites in the vast majority of them.

We shouldn't be close to the bottom three, there are some extremely poor teams knocking around. Remember this is a season where Palace - who don't exactly have a superb squad, it's competent at best - had 0 points and 0 goals after 7 games and they've stayed up easily.

Absolutely this. I've said it before, but Jota, Boly, Cav & Costa walk into any side not in the top 6, and Neves walks into any side not called Manchester City (he would still get game time) Half of our starting 11 is better than 14 sides in the Prem, and that's before we add to it. 17th should not be the target at any point next season
