O'shea said they had watched arsenal-swansea and tried to play/defend like them..very very poor of arsenal failing to break through once again
I feel many of the arsenal players are too alike/similar..small, quick good with the ball..passing it around..no real power
That's been Wenger's modus operandi for a few years now. No real wide midfielders, all the overlap theoretically comes from the fullbacks but Bellerin and Gibbs (though pacey) simply don't have the quality for that job. Playing five central midfielders without having really world class overlapping runs coming in is just asking for problems like today. I lost count of the number of crosses Arsenal put in that Sunderland barely had to move to defend against.
Cazorla has played in a deeper role for the vast majority of the season and has been majestic.
It's been his best season in an Arsenal shirt to date.
I will make sure that I am out of town for this one. This should be a fun day out.
Leeds United will play Glasgow Rangers at home on July 25th 2015 in a pre season friendly.
Weird day in Sweden as AIK and Malmö both lose by 3 goals to 0 (against IFK and Hacken, respectively). Although more surprising is the table after 9 games, which has IFK top and both Malmö and AIK missing Europe entirely.
Rosicky is such a lovely player; I know he's old but every time he's fit he'd be the first name on the sheet for me were I Arsene.
While we're on the subject, playing Cazorla, and more particularly Oxlade, in deeper positions absolutely does my head in. Can they play there? Sure. Is it their best position? Hell fucking no.
