What has happened to Madrid. Before they fucked off to Morocco or wherever for the pointless Tournament before Christmas they were beyond awesome. Since then, bit normal.

I really don't know. It has all fallen apart. Fully expect Ancellotti to be binned very soon, and then Bale will be on his way too as it just isn't going to work with the crowd wanting Ronaldo to do everything. Marcello looks awful, Carvajal had a piss-poor game, Sergio Ramos was having to hold it all together at the back on his own. Great having attacking talent, but defence is also important.

He didn't really try though. He isn't doing anything near what you would expect the most expensive player to be doing. He should be producing game changing moments. He just isn't living up to expectation.

No denying Real are an ace side, but every time I watch them I look at Marcello and think he is a bag of steaming shite.

Whenever I've seen them this season they've just looked a bunch of individuals, works well enough against some of the dross in La Liga but don't look anywhere close to having the cohesion of the other top sides in Europe, just seems like too many players out there who don't really work together.

I don't think you can have that front three, AND James, AND Isco. They just ended up getting in each others' way tonight a lot of the time. Basically leaves Kroos on his own in midfield as well and he isn't especially mobile so that causes its own issues.

Asamoah can play as an orthodox LB but IIRC they only ditched the 3-5-2 after his injury to make Evra more comfortable. Could be wrong tho.
