That space has appeared a few times already, Vidal got into a similar area very early on too. Real need to sort that out or Juve will make more chances.

It's Kroos, he doesn't do that bit well enough. I've always thought you have to play him further forward as he just doesn't switch on well enough defensively.

It's not solely him though, fair enough he's not tracking the runner but it's alarming how big a gap has been opened up in the back four to create that space to run into in the first place.

True, but if you are playing 4-2-3-1 one of your two can't be a defensive liability and he always has been.

Bayern weren't that fussed he went, Thiago does the same job and more and Javi Martinez is always there as well.

I'm not sure they're really in a true 4231 tonight, it looks more 433 for the most part with Ramos for some reason playing the right of the 3, surely you'd rather stick him in the middle as the anchor and have Isco/Kroos flanking him?

Ramos played that weird role vs Atletico as well.

They're a bit frantic at the moment, no possession at all. They have better options available than what they're playing. Also Isco and James in the same team is not for me.

It'd sort of make sense to put him in one of the wider position if there was a particular threat down one side of the pitch but there really isn't in this Juve team, neither Lichsteiner nor Evra are particularly threatening going forwards and the midfield all tend to stay pretty narrow.

And i've just missed my chance to stick my risk free in play bet on Ronaldo to score any time, bastards.
