LIVE! Match discussion 2014/15

He's been excellent in the Champions League so far this season. He's not helped at all y having to play second fiddle to Ibra.

That's fair I suppose (playing pure strikers on the wing is always weird) but so often he whiffs on simple things that simply ought not to be whiffed on at that level.

It wasn't a foul NWW. I understand what you are saying about the challenge being reckless but it wasn't and he didn't impede Rooney. If the keeper had stopped a yard away Rooney took the same touch as he would, the only thing different was a slightly bigger step to clear the keeper. Had Rooney been put off balance and not been able to get to the other side then i could have understood a penalty being given even if i would have been in favour of it but that didn't happen.

I think it's worrying that people involved in the game think it was penalty and Rooney was taking evasive action. He went past the keeper and saw a chance to win a penalty by cheating, pure and simple.

It was a foul IMO Slink. In yours not. That's fine. We disagree and life goes on.

Because they've got players who could support/supply them

Either way they've got loan players making an impact, whether it be creating or providing the finish they're still doing the business. There was an assist for Lingard in there too by the way.

Ince is on a hot streak undoubtedly, but he went through those phases at Blackpool. Bent has been poor when starting, but a very good impact sub. They are missing Martin at the moment, he is pivotal to the way they play, holding the ball up for their runners. They only got back into the game yesterday, when they brought a low rent version in Dawkins on to do a similar job.

Dawkins? He's the small nippy winger isn't he? IMO the opposite of Martin

Plays anywhere across the front line, has been used as a back to goal forward by them before. He's not small, just under 6 ft as a guess. I personally wouldn't call him nippy

Both Lingard and Ince would choose Derby rather than others from the Championship because there seems more potential of a promotion bonus. With the financial benefits for promotion huge their bonus will also be huge.

Not saying Wolves should've had those exact players but Derby are certainly making more of the loan market than Wolves at the moment.

Yeah but the point is both of those players would be first round picks and Derby used their most obvious card possible the more likely possibility of promotion.

It's irrelevant whether or not Derby would be a preferred destination over Wolves, I'm not trying to say Wolves should've taken any of the players that Derby have, Bent for one would've been an absolute disaster in Jackett's current systembut they're showing there are players out there who are available on loan that can improve their first team, a better first team than Wolves at that, so whilst Wolves would've potentially missed out on those 'first round picks' the next lot up would've still been worthy of contribution postitively to Wolves' lesser first team.

Real in front but they miss Modric so much.

Hoddle on the box for Madrid game. Micro - "he used to manage wolves and is a twat"

So fucking proud I could burst
