Guessing a very pissed of dressing room at half time. Master Neville not impressed with his actions either

If you're Baines in that situation surely you tell him to fuck off? I know he's not a big lad but I can imagine what Andy Thompson would have said if anyone tried taking the ball off him.

He did defer to John De Wolf but a) he was John De Wolf and b) he could actually back it up. His penalties were just stupid.

If Albion fans were livid with Irvines style of play (which actually involved the odd attack) i cant see them being very happy with this, especially against this Everton team.

Now besic off instead of barry..strange

Rightly so, they have been horrific. Although they have let their horrendously overrated manager stock the squad with ex-Wigan players.

Everton have been poor but Albion are playing like Blackpool on Saturday which is shocking.

Pulis will say it is a point earned. A game ticked off.

I admire his ultra pragmatism in many ways but it's no fun to watch.

I thought they might want to attack a little though. A point is a point is a point, especially when you are down the arse end of the Division but a win, which was possible would have taken them above Everton.
No doubt he will keep them up but any sign of a slip in form and the Albion fans will be on his back in a flash

Plenty of games under Mick where we really could have gone for it and didn't. Funnily enough Everton away was one in 2011/12. You can't play that way forever.

I don't see Pulis and the Albion being a long term marriage.

Mick found himself terrified of the Prem at times, so not going to try and take any highground on this. Just thought with an outlet like Berahino, they might have done a bit more in an attacking sense

The back end of the 09/10 season we played some pretty dour stuff against Stoke, Everton and Fulham to ensure we stayed up. I'd expect the same from Ipswich next season if they go up.

Oh I agree, they were there for the taking and showed a shocking lack of intent. I'm saying the fans will accept that rubbish in the short term if he keeps them up this year (I think he will) but it isn't sustainable.

Mick's comments after that Everton game really fucked me off. Words to the effect of 'that is how we play, get used to it'. No Mick, we were 1-0 up and should have won.

JD - for the record, I loathed our football that season.

It's possible that Pulis is making sure they are hard to beat first and then will worry about the other end of the pitch afterwards, I don't think they have the attacking players to play how he wants to (either the Stoke method or the Palace one) so it will take time but he will keep them up.

With the players they have I think they'll be more of a Stoke than Palace, I'd give this marriage until the end of next season before the WBA start getting hacked off.
They won't go down but won't come any higher than 12th and won't come any higher for the foreseeable, if your a mid table side you'll at least want some entertainment as a fan. The Albion will not have funds like Stoke had the Coates family is far more wealthier than Mr Peace is.
Pulls gets the best out of what he's got and deserves credit for that but I envisage tonight's game become a regular theme when WBA play away.

I didn't think we were too bad first half of the season. There were some games where we had to scrap for it but in generally we tried to play some decent stuff. Then Mick realised we didn't have the players for 442 at that level and changed, but to an unbelievably defensive formation.

Mick did some odd things in the Premier League. There was a coupoe of occasions where we would set up quite well and play some good football, then completely abandon it at the first sign of trouble
