LIVE! Match discussion 2014/15

I'm really struggling to see what what MP is attempting with Spurs. His Soton team were full of commitment, they pressed superbly and we're exceptionally well drilled.

How is he still giving Adebayor game time? The defence is full of bottlers and I'm not at all sure what the central midfielders are meant to do contributing.

He's diet-AVB, that's all he is and ever was. I still think AVB shouldn't have been sacked when he was but if you have to do it then fine, but to bring in a manager who is tactically almost the same as AVB... just why?

That squad needs gutting and starting again. A collection of pushovers. Vertonghen, Capoue, Lamela, Kaboul, Rose, Adebayor - wouldn't want them on your side in a battle, would you. They're so mentally weak.

This is not a great game, and like Nando I struggle to see in which direction Tottenham are going.

What a great load of stinking handbags that was. Benteke walks for a slap

I'd have Lamela back in Rome in a heartbeat.

Benteke sent off. It may appear a little harsh, but you cannot raise your hands .

Rubbish! It's the pitch man,it's not wide enough.

:)

3 red cards really. Kick out and two slaps. He'd completely lost it.

I got sent off for a slap once....(only red card I got). Once his hand touched the face he left himself open to the red card. He can't really complain about it

Aston Villa have lost their discipline. They are arguing with the officials at every decision. There could be another red card at this rate.

Sorry, I meant soft on Benteke's part. Needless.

Not sure what you see in Lamela at all.

Ah, aye, agree with that.

He was on such a level in Rome that it looked like he'd take over Serie A single handedly. He was absolutely unbelievable in Italy.

That might be so but he has shown absolutely nothing in England bar a couple of show pony efforts against Europa League dross. He doesn't even look like creating anything, wrong decisions all the time and so out of step with the pace of the game.

Can't really argue with that, but he certainly still has his moments, show pony or not.

Nathan Baker finds all kinds of ways to ruin things for Villa.
