Jonny will be the freshest player on the pitch! Obviously not match sharp though. He must be ready. They wouldn't have waited all these months to risk him today.

Guys got quads and calves of steel (so he shouldn’t have been able to do it in the first place!) so I trust he will be OK.

They are going to have to pull the stops out today, im worried, but hey! i was worried against Arsenal, i would take a draw right now, sounnds worrying about Boly.

Like others, hopefully Jonny is ready.

6 months seems pretty quick for an ACL return

Boly must have tweaked his hamstring in training. Hopefully it's just a minor one and they have rested him today as a precaution.

Happy to see Jonny back & hopefully Boly isnt out for that long

Nuno said pre-match that Boly and Podence will be missing for "a couple of weeks". We know Podence is longer so it is likely a grade 1 hamstring strain for Boly and 2 weeks out.

Sounds like he was still carrying it so hopefully couple of weeks off and he will be good again.

A back 4 with Coady and Kilman in the middle will have to be so deep it’ll be terrible. Really hope it’s a 3

His form has been all the more impressive if he was carrying an injury...

Hopefully it's only 2 weeks.

Nuno suggested a 3. As for Jonny, he knows the role inside out and health wise you have got to think they know he’s ok physically - his injury is fairly common in football, so is recovery from it.

Nuno's comments about Jonny playing his position seem to suggest it's a 3 today.

Good to have Jonny back. He's our best wing back/full back by a long way for me. Can play in all four positions imo and someone we have missed. Pity Boly is injured as i thought he was back in form but we need to deal with the injuries and we have capable players.

If ever there was a game for the forwards to step up and produce some moments of brilliance to take some pressure off the defence it is today.

Souness is such a dinosaur. Saw him at a sporting dinner once and he just can't have tactics at all. I get there was a lot less emphasis on tactics when he was playing but football is not like that anymore, it's a very tactical game.
