Thought that was a good half.. obviously helped by Leicester being absolutely terrible but for the first time in a long time we look like we have some semblance of managing the game and keeping small spells of possession at the right times. Also interesting that while we are still playing out from the back we are making better decisions of when it needs to go long and not overplaying.

Couldn’t pick a better opposition to play for your first game I guess. We really haven’t looked good, not that I expected that, but they are just awful

Less chaotic in some senses. Trying to manage the game but you can still see nerves in some players and where we lack quality anyway.

Still, one more goal and I’ll believe
We've just looked more organised, and that after just a couple of training sessions. Imagine where we'd have been if we had got rid of GON when we should have

Whatever the final score, this has been a revelation.
Strand hammering defenders instead of hanging limply in the air. Gedes a revelation, the tackling is strong and quick, we're passing much quicker, not so much back passing.
And!! The players are talking to and shouting at each other, and sa has claimed his penalty area.
I'm with Vic. 🤣

We look to have Shape, Control, and a Plan, would you believe it a Plan...

Tgink we have done really well, Toti done ok, some sloppy passing, Guedes our best player

New Manager?

If one team have defensive problems, the best is offense, dont defense. And this lineup is offensive.

If cunha gets a bit more control 2nd half, and guedes isn't kicked off the park, by jove i think we've got this.

  • Good:
    • Pen and paper!
    • Guedes learned the Konami Code
    • We already look so much more astute in possession; all the movements are happening in groups of three which means there’s almost always been an open outlet by which to keep things ticking over, although Cunha especially has been guilty of overdoing it when he didn’t need to
    • Doc is actually giving something from CB with his passing (more to come later)
  • Bad:
    • Leicester
    • Leicester again
    • Leicester a third time
    • We don’t look good, really, just competent, and Leicester look so awful that it’s hard to tell what’s real about any of this
    • The defense generally looks terrified of everything, which is fair enough, I guess, but needs fixing from Vitor ASAP
    • Doc is just so, so bad at everything a defender needs to do; the aforementioned passing has been nice but it doesn’t come close to making up for all of the things he either won’t or can’t do

Very early days. And Leicester are awful. But would it be unfair to say we look like we have some 'structure'? The midfield is the major difference for me so far. They seem to be sitting in front of the back three instead of running around like headless chickens, pushing and pressing when needed. Using spells of possession more sensibly.

I think we’re getting a bit carried away.

VP hasn’t changed the world in two days.

We’ve had a few things go our way against an awful, awful Leicester.

We’ve not been diabolical in every game this season, maybe we just needed a break.

At times playing direct to JSL who’s bashing defenders about which is great to see. However always was a weakness of Cody’s

Leicester have some collection of defenders (which is amazing coming from us).
