Didn’t watch it, but Leeds sth I work with said it was very open. They looked good going forward and Bamford looked fit, open at the back. Won 6-2, but opposition were shite

Marsch plays a ridiculously open and high-tempo press. Always has. Bringing in the likes of Aaronsen and especially Tyler Adams tells me that he hasn't changed tactically from his NYRB days.

They were absurdly open last time we played. Had Raul not been sent off we would've put 4 or more past them easily.

Hope we do so this time as Marsch was completely insufferable afterwards. Great tactical genius that didn't kick in until a man advantage (and several of our players apparently suffering simultaneous amnesia) - yeah, sure pal.

What would you rather play if the choice was;

4-3-3 with Dendoncker in midfield

4-2-3-1 with Hwang up front

The latter. Irrelevant of his lack of ability, one thing hwang can do is run. If he plays on the last man, makes runs in behind it will stretch the game, allow more space for the 3 behind etc.

You failed to mention the obvious play hwang up top with dendonker as one of the three behind which Lage will likely go for..
