Leeds (A) 18/04: Build-Up & Match Thread

Absolutely, also makes it worse given we started from such a strong position when we came up, just needed vaguely competent management to have us regular mid table for many more years.
Everton is the only game I've been to all season and I just thought it was a fucking mess so I wouldn't bother again. How, with that level of resource, do you build a squad that has issues in every single area. It boggles the mind.

Get rid of the fucking lot of them.

Before you consider transfers, merit payments, TV appearances and sponsorships each club receives a base of just shy of £97,000,000 from broadcast.

£776,000,000 over the last 8 years and this is the end game.

Its one thing to have that advantage and go down but it's another to have that advantage and render yourselves uncompetitive.

Said it before but teams that are established in the PL and all its in built advantages can only go down if run incompetently. Once you've done 5 seasons only you can relegate yourselves

Fucking hell, this shower of shite don't deserve the fans.a really good away end, especially considering what we've seen this season.

Bentley conceded three and was probably our best player today.

A front line up that lacks the potency of Podence, Trinçao and MGW. Less hold up play than Fabio and a midfield that was so poor I (genuinely) didn't see JRB touch the ball in the first half.

RE can just go, we've been mildly less bad under him than VP but I've seen nothing that shows promise for next season. Just fuck him off.

Finally, Tchatchoua - worse player we've had in the PL. He's probably in my all time worst Wolves 11.

In years to come I feel worst XI's ought to ignore the class of 25/26 due to the wages they've been drawing and/or the fee's spent on them.

Obviously Fosun put us into planned decline during the Covid period, but even so, has an established club ever been so ill-prepared and recruited this badly? The question now is do Fosun regroup and go again, or do they exploit the club and extract as much from it as they can before heading for the exit.

Leicester the obvious one I guess. They have made Jeff/Fosun look good at times

Tchatchoua is Ali Dia reborn, except we paid proper money for him. He's the poster boy for this season's

Didn't see the game today. How did Tchatchoua play? Could be he was immense. Or he might have even controlled the ball for a change, or beat a man for pace. Who knows.

I struggle to think of many worst than Jackson.
JRB I’ve never known a player be able to dine out on one epic performance more than him, absolutely nothing footballer who has set himself up for life by stealing a living as a PL player. He won’t stand out in the championship either.
As for RE you had the audacity to moan at the fans post Arsenal. You’re not fooling anyone charging down the touchline after beating Villa either. PPG you’re still a shambles and have had 1 month game free with the squad and served a 0-7 return. He you got things so bad today you had to sub off one of your players after 38 minutes.

Even shit house Rob Edwards realised he needed hooking at half time.

He was an absolute mess in the first half and the away fans started booing him.

To put into context, the away fans were in good voice and trying to have a relegation party...

Listening to RE post match interview on 5live just annoys me how chilled out and jovial he sounded. Like yeah we know we’re going down but we’ll give it a good go and few mistakes cost us, yes rob you made a lot of those mistakes.

They can't take money out of the club, that's a fallacy, we don't even owe them very much on the books.

If they want any kind of recoupment then they have to get us back up and sell us as a PL club.

Fosun haven’t fucked up this badly on purpose, they just don’t know what they’re doing. I don’t believe for a second that they aren’t bothered by relegation. It’s crazy to think they led us to this point on purpose.

The vast majority of this relegation sits on Jeff's shoulders. The warning signs that he had no clue what he was doing have been there for several seasons, that's all on Fosun.

This isn't to absolve VP, Teti and RE. I'd blame the players but the vast majority have no right to be playing in the top tier of English football, which takes me back to Jeff, VP and Teti...

Also the fact our downgrade in quality hasn't seen a downgrade in costs or wages from the looks of the previous accounts shows its clearly not deliberate. It's just rank arrogance.

Nobody would be happy obviously, the anger is the big fucking warning signs that they have continuously ignored.
The Bruno Lage debacle should’ve been the biggest warning they should’ve taken notice off when lop kept us up but no no they went down an identical pathway.
This time they bit of more than they could chew and so it proved and by the time they realised it we were toast.
Not listening to coaches who actually knew what they were talking about and persisting with the likes of Lage and GON.
