I’d already come to that conclusion like everyone else, but knew it was completely unrealistic. We aren’t going to be able to give some of these away. We can’t sell them at a loss, but need to raise fund to sign others. You had the hope some of them may be ok the level down but they are shit and damaged. Truly sad state of affairs.

Yeah we need the reverse of what Sunderland did going the other way. They'll always be takers it depends how much we are prepared to subsidise. If you use Tolu as an example he'll still be on the books for £18m and (as a guess) £40k a week. Nobody is paying us that, so even players who aren't here will be costing us money.

Absolutely, also makes it worse given we started from such a strong position when we came up, just needed vaguely competent management to have us regular mid table for many more years.
