Keir Starmer at it again..

That doesnt need to be national power though. They're already doing terribly in every council they control.

The other parties need to be making the argument that if Reform cant run a county council, how can they be trusted with the country?
No one gives a fuck about councils. It’s priced in that they are always shit.

It's one of those, you can tell me that one dish contains 50 olives and one contains 100 olives, I fucking hate them both as I find olives absolutely disgusting, so the ratio is irrelevant.

There's a negligible chance that Rupert Lowe is ever Prime Minister of the United Kingdom but there's a very real chance that Nigel Farage could be, and so I'll hope (against every fibre of my moral being) that the former actually gains some traction.

Yup. We don't get rid of them until they're in power and fuck it up, unfortunately
They've already peaked. Slipped 7/8% over the last few months. They're not doing enough to form a govt by themselves and they're the party most likely to be the victim of tactical voting.

The high profile Tory defections and being up Trumps arse have started to take a toll.

I don’t think Farage actually wants to be in power if that makes sense. As others have said it will take them actually be in power for it to actually hit people they don’t really give a shit about the average person. And Farage does actually know that I think, and it pays better to be just on the outside

Yes. He's been the most influential man in British politics for the last 20 ish years and he only became an MP in 2024. He's got everything that he wanted. Now he's going for the ECHR because that's the last thing standing in the way of turning Britain into a low tax low regulation corporate hell hole. He's dragged Tories and Labour much further right than they were in the 90s.

This is why it's not a good idea to just agree and appease everything right wing cunts come out with because you just grant them legitimacy. Somebody needs to make counter arguments.

Feels like a load of wishful thinking. He’s a a chancer with some abhorrent views and with a massive thirst for power.

BBC have a huge amount of responsibility here too. You look how often he was on QT over the years. He was good for a soundbite or a 'controversial' statement so they had him on speed dial.

Don’t know if it’s the right thread, but two captains of the navy’s nuclear submarines have been relieved of their duties due to them having affairs with the MP Joanne Reid who’s husband was arrested on suspicion of being a Chinese spy.
