Keir Starmer at it again..

I think the Tories might be in with a shot here. If they can ditch Badenoch and get someone who isnt obviously batshit - think Call Me Dave here - then the defections of all their loons might be something they could build on - 'We lost or way, but now we've cleared out the fringe loons, so vote for us' - essentially doing what Kinnock/Smith did when they binned the likes of Militant.

They could then take the non-crazy centre right vote, leave reform to pick up the minority of headbangers, and see Labour squeezed from both sides.

I dont think it will happen, because they're still probably too crazy crazy, but its definitely doable, in theory.

Change to the assisted dying bill - removing need for high court judge sign off. Might move the needle quite considerably; I get it - court time needs protecting but safe-guarding needs to be to exceptional. I don't doubt that there will be enough experience in the deciding committee on each case to make the correct decision, but moving away from judges has led to some puh back

Greens win Gorton and Denton By-Election from Reform in 2nd and Lab in 3rd.

Great decision by Starmer to block Andy Burnham from standing...

Well hopefully it will direct his complete attention away from the Tory Party in a bad disguise and they can stop trying to be them.

Obviously needs to survive the battering that is incoming in May first, which he probably won't.

Some mp saying they were fucked yesterday. They can't match Reform on the Right or Greens on the Left. Labour now occupy a dead space in British politics.
